The Dark Souls series is known for many things, chiefly among them, the games' often punishing difficulty. But Dark Souls also has an incredible community around it that has pulled off some truly amazing feats.

For anyone not familiar, Dark Souls is an action RPG series that tasks players with exploring a complicated desolate environment to find and fight through a series of intense boss fights. And while Dark Souls is well known for its difficulty, many community members take it upon themselves to find a greater challenge by attempting no-hit runs or using strange controllers.

Now, Argentine streamer FryderyG completed the insane task of defeating Knight Artorias without getting hit a single time while blindfolded and using an electric piano as a controller. The achievement is an insane one that undoubtedly must have taken an incredible number of attempts. FryderykG's tweet shows the boss battle in its entirety, and even knowing that he is victorious in the end, the video is quite the nail-biter. Defeating a boss with only a piano would be difficult enough in its own right, but doing so blindfolded and without being hit is incredible, and the victory is even more impressive as Knight Artorias is one of the most difficult bosses in all of Dark Souls.

Gamers not very familiar with Dark Souls may wonder just how playing the game blindfolded is even possible. While still incredibly difficult, it is possible due to Dark Souls' great design that telegraphs many boss attacks with particular sound effects. This means that a player that has become incredibly familiar with a boss in the game can listen for those sound effects and know what move is coming from the boss without even having to see it. While it game that likely does not impact most players' experiences, it is part of what makes the Dark Souls series so special.

FryderykG's achievement is an incredible one and is a testament to the lasting legacy of both Dark Souls and the sequels it has spawned. Even among a community that is famous for pulling off some incredible stunts, this one is very impressive. With developer FromSoftware's upcoming Elden Ring release the future will only hold more incredible feats of skill in the series, and while it is difficult to imagine how a player will top FryderykG's achievement, it will be crazy to see what players do to try.

Dark Souls is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
