An Elden Ring player showed an old-school build that turns the Tarnished into Giant Dad, a custom-built playable character known for being the absolute meta in the PvP mode of Dark Souls. For those who're unfamiliar, Dark Souls' Giant Dad is an old build that has turned into a hilarious meme over the years. Often used by PvP griefers, it works with varying degrees of success, and its legend still lives today.

Elden Ring offers players deep customization to change their combat style through a wide array of weapons and armor. The game allows them to create unconventional builds that can lead to something a bit humorous for players and give their character a quirky appearance. As an example, an Elden Ring player showed their jar tank build that is composed of a few jar-related items like Jar Cannon, Great Jar's Arsenal, and Beastman's Jar Shield. The build lets the player summon the spirit of living jars for aid during combat.

An Elden Ring player, who goes by Les_Waste on Reddit, posted an image of the Giant Dad build they encountered in The Lands Between. The build seems to be composed of Olivinus Glintstone Crown and Tree Sentinel armor set, with some Elden Ring fans in the comments saying it also utilizes Zweihander and Catch Flame. Aside from the fashion, the similarity between this unique build and Dark Souls' Giant Dad is that they focus on dumping stats into endurance, vitality, and strength to make the character as durable and agile as possible.

If players want to try out this build, they must first find or purchase Zweihander, a colossal sword that scales primarily with strength and is located in the very west of the Weeping Peninsula. Additionally, the build requires Tree Sentinel armor set that boasts superior physical and fire defenses. The entire armor set can be found inside the Auriza Hero's Grave in Elden Ring. Players can complete the Giant Dad build with Olivinus Glintstone Crown, which is located in the Academy of Raya Lucaria.

Now that Elden Ring has been out for a while, one of the best ways to take down formidable enemies is to create versatile builds, which have their fair share of benefits. There are a number of overpowered builds in Elden Ring, which players can use to clear out multiple targets, increase their durability, or turn the Tarnished into a stealth assassin. Better yet, there is nothing holding players back from trying out these builds to freshen up their experience.

Elden Ring is currently available to play on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
