Silver Coins are items in Dark and Darker that players will obtain during their adventures. While the way that these coins are earned is not particularly complex, some fans may be confused about what they should do with them. This guide is here to alleviate that confusion, and details on the various uses of Silver Coins in Dark and Darker can be found in what follows.

This guide is being written at a point in Dark and Darker 's early access period where there are two primary uses for Silver Coins. Those uses may be adjusted as the game approaches its full release, though, and an update may be required.

Dark and Darker: Silver Coin Uses

Exchange for Gold Coins

Players can exchange their Silver Coins for Gold Coins at the Treasurer, one of the merchants that can be accessed via the Merchants tab. This exchange occurs at a rate of three Silver Coins per Gold Coin, and dungeon crawler fans who are in need of Dark and Darker's primary currency may want to pursue this option.

Exchange for Crafting Materials

Players can turn their Silver Coins into Silver Powder and Silver Ingots, materials that are used in Dark and Darker's crafting system. For full clarity, fans who want to turn their Silver Coins into Silver Powder can do so by visiting the Alchemist and selecting the Service tab, while those who are in need of Silver Ingots should turn their attention to either the Armourer or Weaponsmith.

With respect to the items that can be crafted from Silver Powder and Silver Ingots, the Weaponsmith will be happy to turn those materials into a variety of weapons. More specifically, the merchant can transform Silver Powder into Rare weapons, while Silver Ingots can be made into Dark and Darker weapons of Epic and Legendary rarity.

Players cannot craft those weapons straightaway, though, as they must unlock the Weaponsmith's ability to work with Silver Powder and Ingots. To perform that unlocking, fans of extraction games must complete the merchant's quests, which can be accepted through his Quest tab or via the Quest Log in the bottom-right corner of the Play screen.

If a player finds that the Weaponsmith is not offering any quests, it is likely that a new season has recently begun, and the merchant's quests have not yet been made available. Fans should expect those quests to appear in the upcoming weeks, though, and they will be able to use the materials that are created with Silver Coins as soon as they complete them.
