New rumors involving the plot of the upcoming Disney+ show Daredevil: Born Again have been swirling around the internet and have gotten fans very upset. Vincent D’Onofrio who plays Kingpin in the series has responded to fans with a little advice.Daredevil: Born Again is a soft reboot of Netflix’s canceled Daredevil series with some of the actors returning to play Daredevil, Kingpin, and The Punisher. However, those are the only characters that have been confirmed to be returning. Fans recently got disappointing news when a former stunt person for the Netflix series said this about the new show, “They really, truly don’t want it to be anything like the Marvel Netflix Daredevil,”Related: Daredevil: Born Again's Kingpin Look Is Not What You Would ExpectA post by CanWeGetSomeToast on Instagram revealed some disappointing news about the plot of Daredevil: Born Again. The post reads “I can exclusively share that Matt Murdock and Kirsten Mcduffie will be working together at his new firm: Murdock & Associates in Daredevil: Born Again. Nelson and Murdock is no more.” This was a gut punch to fans who grew to love Foggy and Matt’s relationship in the show. Fans took to Twitter to voice their anger at this news.

One user tweeted out saying “No Karen, no Foggy, no thanks. And then there's Kingpin. @vincentdonofrio is always brilliant, but I saw all the PG-13 Kingpin I ever wanted and more in Hawkeye.” D’Onofrio responded with some very simple advice, “Patience. Patience…” It is unclear whether D’Onofrio is addressing the other characters' returns or whether his character will be PG-13. Either way, he seems to suggest there is more to it than what people think and that fans should wait to see the finished product.

An on-set photo leaked in March of this year that could give more details about when the show takes place. In the photo, there is a bulletin board that says March 15, 2020, meaning that the scene being filmed takes place during the blip. Whether this is a flashback or if the show takes place during the blip is unclear. If the show does take place during the blip that could be the reason why Foggy and Karen aren’t there.

The series is set to be 18 episodes and split into two parts. That’s a lot of story to cover so fans may see characters return from the blip by the end of the story. D’Onofrio commented on the series in March saying, “It's really deep, really emotional,” and “By the second season, there are gigantic, gigantic payoffs…but the fans are gonna really get what they want.” So before fans get up in arms about the series, heed Kingpin’s words and be patient.
