During the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that Charlie Cox will reprise the role of the aforementioned comic-book character in the upcoming series titled Daredevil: Born Again. Filming began in early March 2023 in New York before being suspended in June due to the Writers Guild of America strike. Fans were disheartened that they would have to wait a little longer to see Charlie Cox back in action. However, a new official synopsis for Marvel Studios' upcoming Echo series has confirmed that the actor will return to the small screens earlier than expected.

The production giant recently submitted the upcoming series Echo to the United States Copyright Office with an official description for the Hawkeye spin-off's first episode. The synopsis mentions how the show's main character, Alaqua Cox's Maya Lopez, struggles to reconnect with her Native American roots. On the other hand, she is also trying to balance her life with the brutal legacy of Wilson Fisk. Apart from the synopsis, the description also featured the main cast members, which included Charlie Cox as Daredevil. The copyright filing also states that the series will hit Disney Plus in January 2024 because the date of publication written in the filing is January 10. That said, there is no official confirmation on the official premiere date.

"Marvel Studios presents Echo in which Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) struggles to reconnect with her Native American roots while balancing aspirations tied to a life of crime as successor to the brutal legacy of Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin," reads the official synopsis. "In the first episode, we are introduced to Maya Lopez and her struggles." In addition to Charlie Cox, Alaqua Cox, and D'Onofrio, the cast of Echo also features Chaske Spencer as Henry, Tantoo Cardinal as Chula, Graham Greene as Skully, Cody Lightning as Cousin Biscuits, Devery Jacobs as Bonnie, and Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez.

Echo follows Maya Lopez as she returns to her city, grappling with her tumultuous past. As she journeys home, Maya endeavors to reconcile with her Native American heritage, delving into her roots.
