After Charlie Cox made his return to playing his iconic role as Daredevil in She-Hulk, many are wondering how exactly Marvel Studios will portray the character in the MCU in his upcoming show Daredevil: Born Again. Another question is if characters like Elodie Yung's Elektra will migrate over to the MCU proper, which fan art shows would look rather cool.

Fan art gives viewers a possible scenario in which characters from the Netflix series would, in fact, make an appearance in the new Daredevil show. This fan art showed Cox's Daredevil fighting off ninjas, presumably from The Hand, alongside Yung's Elektra, who played the character both in Netflix's Daredevil and The Defenders from 2016 to 2017.

Rahal Arts' Twitter account gave fans a glimpse of what Daredevil: Born Again may look like should Yung make her return as Elektra in the new series. Not only is Daredevil fighting off ninjas alongside her, but he is also wearing his classic yellow and red costume while fighting them much as they did in Daredevil season 2. By doing so, it looks like they are incorporating both worlds of previous Daredevil plotlines while also making it look like it's canon with the MCU. While tweeting out the picture, Rahal Arts' caption read, "Would you like Elodie Yung to return for her role as Elektra in daredevil born again? #daredevil #elodieyung #DaredevilRun2022 #daredevilbornagain #marvelstudios."

While Vincent D'Onofrio's return as Kingpin is official, it has not been confirmed yet if Yung will return as Elektra for Daredevil: Born Again. It's very possible that the reason why is that the last time fans saw the character, she presumably died (again) in The Defenders, but that has yet to be confirmed or denied. It's very possible they may let her stay dead because to kill her off twice only to bring her back a third time may only come off as repetitive to the fans. Or at the very least, they may keep her away in future installments.

In all honesty, while Yung did a perfectly fine job portraying the character, the one knock on the Daredevil Netflix series, and really the Marvel Netflix series as a whole, is that when Elektra came in, her purpose was all for world-building since she was the link to The Hand, and it brought the series to a grinding halt. Before and after that was out of the picture, Daredevil was excellent. If she was brought in simply as her own character and not a means to an end to building up to a team-up series or movie, maybe the series would benefit from having her back in that fashion.

It all depends on what Disney plans to do for Daredevil. It seems like the MCU will take the character in a much different direction when they start Born Again. While She-Hulk indicated that Daredevil would be different going forward, they didn't stray too far away from Matt Murdock as a whole since he's a brilliant lawyer and expert martial artist. Because Cox expertly portrayed him, the show should be given the benefit of the doubt when Daredevil: Born Again is released.

Daredevil: Born Again is slated for release in the spring of 2024 on Disney Plus.
