Daredevil: Born Again got a brief feature during Marvel Studios' presentation at D23. With Charlie Cox on stage to support the panel, details about when filming will begin for the hotly-anticipated show has been revealed.

Daredevil: Born Again has been an anticipated release due to the popularity of Netflix' Daredevil series. The take on the Man Without Fear was dark, brooding, and bloody. Its audience was intended to be a more mature fare than most other Marvel Studios projects. However, the series (and the other Marvel Netflix projects) was canceled, and many wondered if Charlie Cox would ever return to play Matt Murdock again. Fortunately, the character and actor returned to the screen in Spider-Man: No Way Home, where he made a cameo as Peter Parker's lawyer. He'll next appear during She-Hulk, where Jennifer Walters (and fellow lawyer) appears to be enamored with him.

When it was announced back in July that Daredevil: Born Again would begin production on 18 episodes, for a 2024 release, fans were excited to see the hero get a new show. According to IGN, Charlie Cox took to the stage at D23 to discuss the series a bit. Though he remained tight-lipped on plot details and other particulars, he did reveal he was excited to begin filming very soon. The title card for Daredevil: Born Again was also unveiled, as was some footage of Daredevil interacting with She-Hulk (though since filming has not started on his own show, the footage was from She-Hulk).

Still, despite the lack of extensive details, fans seemed pleased with Cox's presence. The English actor portrayed the character and became beloved during his tenure on the Netflix series, which led to fan campaigns being launched for his return. Marvel has even revealed that he'll appear in the Echo tv show, where he'll be joined by Vincent D'Onofrio, who portrays his archvillain Kingpin.

Daredevil: Born Again might be one of Marvel's most anticipated projects yet. Fans have been clamoring for the character's return, and now that it's confirmed, speculation about the show has begun. It has yet to be confirmed as to whether other cast members of the Netflix show will be returning, nor has it been confirmed if the series will be canon in its entirety, or if the production may take a more liberal, "broad-strokes" interpretation. Though some worry that the show will not be as dark as its predecessor, at least it's certain that Cox, D'Onofrio, and any other returning cast members, will put their all into their return.

Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+ in 2024.
