Danny Pudi has reiterated his excitement for the upcoming Community film (set to finally fulfill the viral six seasons and a movie hashtag). After starring as Abed Nadir for several years on the sitcom, Pudi seemed eager to get in character once again.

Community had a shaky production history that included showrunner Dan Harmon being fired before the fourth season and then brought back for the fifth, only for the series to be cancelled and then revived by Yahoo! Screen for what would be its sixth and final season. Then in September of this year, it was announced that a Community movie was officially in the works over at Peacock.

According to an interview from ComicBook.com, Pudi finally commented on the Community movie and assured fans that he was in the dark about the film's details as much as they were. "Everything we know, we know. The update on my end is that I'm very excited," Pudi said. "I haven't read anything yet, but we've all been texting and communicating. We're pumped and really looking forward to doing it. So we'll see. We'll see very soon, hopefully."

The film's plot is still under wraps, though there are several storylines that could be resolved in the Community movie. Some plots were left open-ended when the show aired its series finale back in 2015, such as Annie (Alison Brie) and Jeff's (Joel McHale) relationship. In fact, the love lives of several of the characters went unresolved but may be addressed during the movie. Other plotlines, such as Troy (Glover) going on a world tour with LeVar Burton, may also be resolved, though Glover is not confirmed to return yet.

Harmon has assured fans that Donald Glover is down to star in the Community movie, but Glover has been very busy since he originally left the show. His music career as Childish Gambino took off around the original airing of Community, and he has been working on his own show, Atlanta, as well. It is entirely possible that Troy will make his comeback in the Community movie, but it's also very unlikely that Chase will return, given his alleged misbehavior on set and disagreements with Harmon.

Yvette Nicole Brown is also not yet confirmed to return for the film, meaning Shirley may not be making an appearance. Of course, she's one of the characters fans are hoping to see in the Community movie, so hopefully, she signs on as well. Gillian Jacobs, McHale, Pudi, and Brie are all confirmed to be reprising their roles as Britta, Jeff, Abed, and Annie, respectively.

The Community movie will be released on Peacock.
