Even though The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt released a number of years ago, it's still a beloved game in the hearts of many. It's on a pedestal next to some of gaming's juggernauts like Skyrim. It's even beloved by other studios, enough so that Marvelous Entertainment has included Geralt and Ciri in DLC for Daemon X Machina.

Daemon X Machina is a high-octane mech action game for the Nintendo Switch, developed by the creators of Armored Core and Super Dimensional Fortress Macross. The two master Witchers may not actually be mech pilots in a science fiction setting, but that hasn't stopped them from trying out the role.

The game features customizable mech pilots, which is how Geralt and Ciri get the chance to climb into the pilot seat. The DLC contains outfits, body types, and hairstyles that match the guests. The game has a tremendously different art style than The Witcher 3, but that's part of the fun of this collaboration. This DLC comes free for anyone with a copy of Daemon X Machina.

CD Projekt Red has featured The Witcher 3 star Geralt of Rivia in a number of other games. He's made an appearance in SoulCalibur 6 as well as Monster Hunter: World. It seems that Geralt is a popular character inside and outside of his fiction with many developers getting permission to use him as a cameo.

Daemon X Machina has now had three cameo DLCs since its release in September. The previous two were similar to The Witcher 3 DLC in that it adds pilots from other titles. This time, making a little more sense with characters from mecha anime. One adds Suzaku Kururugi from Code Geass, as well as a skin from his mech, the Lancelot. It even rollerblades around as it does in the show.

The other DLC features Renton from Eureka Seven as a pilot and a skin of his mech Nirvash. Unfortunately, the Eureka Seven DLC is only available in the Japanese version of the game for unknown reasons. It seems there may have been a licensing issue, so a future port doesn't seem to be too out of the question.

Daemon X Machina is out now for Nintendo Switch.
