Cyberpunk 2077 players have the chance to add some Witcher-inspired items to their collection as long as they purchase the upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC expansion. CD Projekt Red has done a lot to turn Cyberpunk 2077 around since its disastrous launch in 2020, greatly improving the game through substantial updates.

CD Projekt Red isn't done with Cyberpunk 2077 just yet. Not only is a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel in the works, but fans of the sci-fi RPG also have a large-scale expansion to look forward to in September. Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is dropping on September 26, bringing with it new items, a character played by Idris Elba, a new area to explore, new story content, and much more for fans to check out.

Some Cyberpunk 2077 fans may be on the fence about picking up the Phantom Liberty expansion at launch, and so CD Projekt Red is looking to sweeten the pot. GOG gamers can get a variety of Witcher-themed items for Cyberpunk 2077 with the Phantom Liberty DLC, with a Rarog Vest unlocked by owning Phantom Liberty, a Wild Hunt jacket and Gwynbleidd sword unlocked by owning the DLC and Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and finally, a Scorch gun and Gwent t-shirt for those that own the DLC and Gwent: The Witcher Card Game.

The Witcher franchise is what put CD Projekt Red on the map, so it makes sense for the studio to use it as a way to promote the Phantom Liberty DLC for Cyberpunk 2077. These items aren't the first Witcher-themed items to come to Cyberpunk 2077, but they should still be greatly appreciated by hardcore CD Projekt Red fans who are fans of both The Witcher and Cyberpunk.

Witcher and Cyberpunk fans should have plenty to look forward to in the next decade. Besides the previously mentioned Cyberpunk projects that are in development, there are multiple new Witcher video games in the works as well. This includes a full-blown remake of the first Witcher game, a brand-new Witcher game that's meant to kick off a new saga for the series, and more.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty launches September 26 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
