It's certainly safe to say that Cyberpunk 2077 got off to a rocky start, but since that time, its community of fans has continued to rally behind the game. With every subsequent patch and hotfix, Cyberpunk 2077 continues to improve as an experience. However, a super exciting prospect for many PC players should consider is the litany of new mods that continue to release for Cyberpunk 2077.

While most PC players have gravitated towards texture and performance mods to improve Cyberpunk 2077's poor visual quality, there are many additional mods that add to the experience in significant ways. As the months go by, mods for Cyberpunk 2077 have become more and more ambitious, with a VR mod for Cyberpunk 2077 releasing soon. Though, this most recent mod involves vehicular combat.

Over on YouTube, a modder named Scissors released an eight-minute video that showcases their vehicle combat mod for Cyberpunk 2077, available on Nexus Mods. As its name suggests, it allows players to use weapons while driving a vehicle. There are only a handful of scripted segments in Cyberpunk 2077, such as the car chase at the beginning of the Nomad lifepath, that allow players to use weapons from inside vehicles, so this should definitely come in handy for some players.

The ability to fire a gun from the driver's seat of a car or swing a sword on the back of a motorcycle might not seem like the most realistic in-game occurrence, but it does add a lot of depth to the gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077. While Cyberpunk 2077 might not have any police chases, a mod such as this could certainly add more excitement to that particular gameplay scenario.

It's amazing just how much the modding community has done to improve and enhance various facets of Cyberpunk 2077. Though, what's especially surprising is the level of ambition that some of these modders have. For instance, someone actually managed to build a metro train station mod for Cyberpunk 2077, and these really are just the tip of the iceberg.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red has done a lot to improve the quality of Cyberpunk 2077 and the state of the game has come a long way since it first launched. With any luck, more and more improvements will be made to Cyberpunk 2077 going forward.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
