Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition hit the digital and physical store shelves on December 5, five days shy of the RPG's third anniversary. The latest version of the game was even treated to a new release trailer starring Keanu Reeves and Idris Elba, who play Cyberpunk 2077's Johnny Silverhand and Solomon Reed, respectively.

CDPR announced Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition in late November. Like its name implies, the bundle includes the base game and its Phantom Liberty expansion. The two normally retail at $90 combined across all platforms. Although Cyberpunk 2077 was also released for the PS4 and Xbox One, its Ultimate Edition is limited to PC and the current-generation consoles, the only platforms that received the Phantom Liberty DLC.

The bundle's December 5 debut finally revealed its pricing details, with numerous retailers listing the physical version of the game at $59.99. That price point essentially means that the Phantom Liberty expansion is included for free. Alternatively, $60 is equivalent to the combined value of Phantom Liberty and the cheapest price that was ever attached to the digital version of Cyberpunk 2077. Either way, this is a fairly compelling opportunity for anyone who hasn't yet played the game to experience everything it has to offer all at once.

The physical Xbox Series X/S version of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition comes on three discs containing both the base game and Phantom Liberty. Its PS5 counterpart has but one game disc accompanied by a download code for the DLC, whereas the physical release for PC comes with no discs. All three boxed editions include a sticker pack featuring Samurai, NUSA, NC, and Chimera artworks, among others.

While PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners can pick up a boxed copy of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition all over the world, its physical release for PC is only available in Europe. With these December 5 releases out of the way, CD Projekt Red is now officially done with Cyberpunk 2077. While the developer's next priority is a new installment in The Witcher franchise, a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel is also confirmed to be in the works, having entered pre-production in 2022. The second entry in the series will use Unreal Engine 5 instead of CDPR's in-house REDengine, and isn't expected to hit the market in the foreseeable future.
