After getting more acquainted with braindancing in Cyberpunk 2077, V will need to use thermal signatures to find the Relic while reliving Evelyn Parker's memories. Finding it is a little tricky, here's how players can quickly find the Relic's location during The Information. There are light spoilers for Cyberpunk 2077 ahead.
Braindancing is a unique game mechanic introduced in Cyberpunk 2077. While it's normally used by everyday folks wanting to live thrilling experiences they might not otherwise get to have, V can use its editing mode to find clues for missions, including for the major quest The Heist. During The Information, Judy Alvarez will introduce braindancing to V for the first time and will teach her the ins and outs of editing mode, including how to read the thermal layer. This is important to finding a key item during the quest.
After going through the tutorial mode with Judy's guidance, V will dive into Evelyn Parker's memory of a time she met with Yorinobu Arasaka, their target for the heist, in his apartment. After scanning Yorinobu's datapad for information on the Relic's storing conditions, it'll reveal that it needs to be stored in a cold place. Switch over to the thermal layer (the button to switch layers is shown on the bottom right corner of the screen) and look around the apartment.
Rather than reds and oranges that signify a warm object, V is looking for something blue-green and "smoking," similar to the effect that comes from dry ice. This may take some rewinding and fast-forwarding through the scene. There are a few cold items in the room that Cyberpunk will trick the player with, like the ice bucket on the coffee table in the center of the room, the air conditioning unit, a fridge that Evelyn approached when she first enters the apartment to grab a drink, and even a pet iguana.
Where is the Relic in Cyberpunk 2077?
Rewind to when Evelyn is near the fridge area on the opposite end of the apartment from the bedroom. Behind a wall, in the corner next to the glass windows is a rectangle in the floor that should be giving off that blue-green smoking effect. Scanning it will reveal that it's a hidden safe, which the team quickly concludes is what's holding the Relic.
With all the information that V needs for th heist, that's the end of this braindance session. Keep in mind that this section of the game won't reveal how to get into the hidden safe during the heist. When the real mission is underway, the switch to reveal the safe's contents is next to Yorinobu's bed.
