The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty DLC that players can initiate after completing the Get it Together mission. As fans work through this mission, they will learn about the exploits of a man named Leon Rinder, and they must ultimately make a decision about his fate. Meet with Briana During the Evening Vigil (10pm-6am)
Players can start the Man Who Killed Jason Foreman gig by traveling to the Longshore Stacks in southwest Dogtown after completing Get it Together, a main mission in Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty DLC. Once the gig has been initiated, fans should use the Skip Time feature, which is found in the bottom-left corner of the menu, to advance to an hour between 10pm and 6am.
Players should now speak to Briana, who is standing near the vigil marked by the in-game mission waypoint, to receive some preliminary information about Leon Rinder. This conversation will end with Briana providing a shard, and cracking it will reveal the next mission objective. For full clarity, this shard is called Archived Conversation: Jason Foreman and Slava Makarov, and it can be found under the Encrypted tab within the Shard menu.
Enter the Abandoned Motel and Find Rinder
It is now time to follow the in-game waypoint to reach an abandoned motel that is situated outside Dogtown's entrance gate. Here, players will encounter numerous foes, and they should address them with either combat or stealth as they make their way to the building's third floor.
Upon reaching this floor, fans should head to the bathroom in the northeast corner and interact with the metal door. This action will trigger a combat encounter with Yasha Ivanov, and players can use their favorite Cyberpunk 2077 weapons to dispatch him.
Cyberpunk 2077: Should You Shoot Rinder or Not
After dealing with Ivanov, players should pass through the bathroom's metal door and start a conversation with Rinder. During this conversation, fans must decide if they will kill Rinder, as they have been instructed, or let him live, and here are the consequences associated with those selections:
Shoot Rinder
Cyberpunk 2077 players that opt to shoot Rinder (at any point during the conversation) will score an easy kill on the unarmed target, and they can then loot the dog tags from his body. Those tags are to be taken back to Briana in the Longshore Stacks, and players will complete Gig: The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman and receive 8,000 eddies when the delivery is made.
Do Not Shoot Rinder
Players that do not shoot Rinder will have an opportunity to make a deal him. Specifically, Rinder will agree to hand over his dog tags and provide the coordinates to a stash of gear in exchange for his life.
Accepting this deal will start a new mission, Addicted to Chaos, that will lead players to a garage in Dogtown. Fans can use the code that Rinder provided to enter this garage, and they will find the Dezerter Iconic Power Double-Barrel Shotgun in a container inside. Players are then free to deliver the dog tags to Briana in order to finish this Cyberpunk 2077 gig and claim the aforementioned 8,000 eddy reward.
With respect to which option is best, the Cyberpunk 2077 Iconic that can be earned does provide some incentive to let Rinder live. That said, players that prioritize roleplaying over items, and feel as though leaving Rinder alive is not in line with their imagining of V, should not be afraid to pull the trigger.
