The Gig is a short side mission that players can complete during Act 2 of Cyberpunk 2077. It features two primary objectives, and one of them instructs fans to collect a free reward from Cassius Ryder's ripperdoc shop inventory. For those players that may be slightly confused about this task, this guide will provide full details on exactly how to collect the free reward, and precisely what it is, in Cyberpunk 2077's The Gig side mission.

After speaking with Wakako in Westrbrook and receiving the "collect you free reward from Cassius Ryder's ripperdoc shop inventory" objective, players should turn to their attention to the northwest end of the map. Indeed, the shop of interest is located in Watson, and fans can use Cyberpunk 2077's fast travel system to reach it quite easily. More specifically, players should use the Cherry Blossom Market fast travel point, which is positioned just above Wakako, to instantly teleport to The Docks up north.

From there, fans should make their way south to the shop, and the glowing "Doc Ryder" sign above the doorway makes finding it fairly simple. That said, some players are currently reporting that they are unable to enter the shop upon arrival, and unfortunately there is no known workaround for this Cyberpunk 2077 bug at the time of writing. For those fans that can go through the door, though, that is exactly what they should do, and indeed they will find Cassius Ryder inside.

Players should now ask Ryder to reveal his inventory, select the Hands slot in the resulting menu, and then select Tattoo: Tyger Claws Dermal Imprint. This Imprint will allow Cyberpunk 2077 fans to use the smart-targeting module in Smart weapons, and it is the free reward being referenced in The Gig. This will be confirmed as soon as the player exits Ryder's inventory, as they will receive notification that they have completed this Cyberpunk 2077 side mission.

To note, players that do not want to bother with this side mission can also earn the ability to use the smart-targeting module in Smart weapons by obtaining a Smart Link from Ryder. However, that cyberware is certainly not free, and fans will need to spend some time farming money in Cyberpunk 2077 if they want to go that route. Considering just how easy it is to complete The Gig, though, it is recommended that players get their free Tyger Claws and save their eddies for other purchases.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions coming in 2021.
