In this Cyberpunk 2077 side mission, V might lose on thousands of eddies, but they can at least find all of their lost gear. Here is a guide on how to finish the Sweet Dreams quest and recover V's belongings.

The Sweet Dreams mission is a random side quest in Cyberpunk 2077. Unlike other quests in Cyberpunk, Sweet Dreams only has one main path the storyline can take. V will meet a braindance merchant named Stefan in Night City, and he'll try to sell V on a crazy BD experience. During this conversation, if the player wants to progress, V will have to fork over a total of $20,000 that they won't get back. Stefan will sell the BD for $16,000 but it suspiciously only works on older tech, so V will have to fork over another $4,000 to use his setup. Red flags will fly, but it's the only way to play out the mission.

Of course, when V tries the play the braindance, they'll get knocked out, mugged, and will wake up in a random bathtub butt-naked as Johnny Silverhand mocks the mercenary for making such a poor decision. V won't have any equipment on them and it'll be sometime before they find it, so they'll have to do some stealth killing early on and it's helpful to have cyberware that can short circuit or otherwise damage enemies by hacking them from a distance if need be.

Though V can always pick up weapons as they go, sneaking is the easiest route for Sweet Dreams since they have no armor, and there are a large number of Scavs in the building. If they're alerted, it'll be a difficult fight without proper weaponry or armor, though cybernetic arms like the Mantis Blades are useful.

Sneak through the strange Night City building and carefully scan for enemies. Some rooms will be dark and the enemies will be hard to see, so tag them as V goes. To get to V's belongings, don't go outside where the two people are talking on a balcony but rather to the left. Further ahead is a large room with a few Scavs that need to be taken care of and lockers on the rightmost wall. One should be glowing with a yellow outline; V's stuff is in there.

After V gets their stuff back, they can take care of the remaining enemies in this Cyberpunk 2077 quest however they'd like; none of them will be particularly difficult. To exit, navigate out to the hallway, then towards Johnny hanging out in an elevator to the far left end. Here, V will say they're going to ask Stefan for a refund, though this is misleading because they'll never actually get their eddies back.

The next step is to find Stefan by following the waypoint. Here, V will give him an earful but neither of the dialogue options results in revenge or Stefan's "money-back guarantee." However, killing Stefan manually will finish the quest all the same.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions in development for a late 2021 release.
