While its early launch has caused problems for the game, Cyberpunk 2o77 has a lot of content for players to dig into. Some of the side quests in the games are called gigs and most gigs have a specific focus for the kinds of missions players are tasked with completing.
Players taking on Search and Recover gigs must track down lost items or people and return them to those that are looking for them. Some of these gigs require a minimum amount of street cred before they become available. These gigs can look simple on the surface but going in unprepared should be prepared for a serious headache.
Warning: Cyberpunk 2077 currently has a large number of glitches that can cause issues for gigs. Gigs occasionally will not spawn and players can attempt to sleep for a full 24 hours in V's apartment or save and completely exit the game to try and fix this. Make sure that gigs are actually completed once they are finished. If they are not listed as complete, players should go back to a previous save file and try to attempt the gig again.
9 Backs Against The Wall
Players must have a minimum street cred rank of one before this gig becomes available. V is tasked with stealing back medicine that has been stolen from a Ripperdoc out of a person's home.
- Exploring The Building - Thankfully, it's easy to explore the abandoned building the medicine can be found in. Once inside, players need to head to the fourth floor where they can either break into a door using their technical ability or simply hop onto the balconies outside and enter through a window. Once inside, players should look for a slope of rubble to climb up.
- Stand Still - Players will encounter William Hare who will start a fight if the player moves once V is spotted. While William dies either way, players can save themselves a fight by picking the following dialogue options: Fixer Sent Me. - If it doesn’t work, give it to me. - His death would change nothing. - Other politicians will make use of his death.
Once William is calmed down, players can take the medicine, exit the building, and deliver it to the drop point to complete this gig.
8 Family Heirloom
Players must have a minimum street cred rank of thirty-five and have also completed the main job Ghost Town before this gig becomes available. Players will be tasked with collecting a rare bootleg Samurai recording.
- Spray And Pray - There's no point in using stealth upon reaching the garage. Players will encounter enemies that are easy to take down. Slaughter them all before collecting the bootleg recording.
- Collect Johnny's Shoes & Car Keys - While players can return later to collect these special items, there's little reason not to do it while players are already in the area. Players that took the keys can then get into Dan's car which is an optional part of the gig but when delivered gives V a nice bonus in eddies.
Players then must deliver the car and the bootleg recording to Dan. When they leave, they will receive a phone call from Rogue. Players then can pick up their reward from the drop point to complete this gig.
7 Family Matters
Players must have a minimum street cred rank of twenty-one before this gig becomes available. Players will need to go to Juliet Harrigan's home to collect data she owes El Capitan.
- Enter The Building - Players have three options to enter Juliet's home — use their technical ability to open the front door, use their body ability to open the back door, or climb through the second-story window.
- Find Out What Happened To Juliet - Either way, players should make sure to go to the second floor and scan the blood and first aid kit to complete the optional part of the gig. Players then must pick up and read shards founds on a desk and in the kitchen respectively.
- Collect The Datashard - Players will need to take down the cyberpsychotic in the basement to be able to open the safe where the datashard they need is located. Rose is easy to take down with a few shots to the head and looting her body will give players the key they need.
Once players have collected the datashard and deposited it in the nearest drop point, this gig is completed.
6 Greed Never Pays
Players must have a minimum street cred rank of one before this gig becomes available. V will need to retrieve a lockbreaker device of Leah Gladen's to complete this gig.
- Enter Leah's Apartment - There are many fancy ways to enter Leah's apartment but why go through the effort when V can simply climb up the scaffolding on the outside of the building? Players then can find a hidden button next to the mirror which they can press to access a hidden room. Once there, players can read the emails on the computer.
- The Wired Head - Players should head to the Wired Head where they'll have to take down a guard on the stairs to get inside. After incapacitating another guide, players with enough technical ability can open a door to bypass sneaking by another six enemies to reach the final room
From here, players can grab the equipment needed and sneak out whichever way they were able to get in. Drop off the equipment at the drop off point to complete this gig.
5 Jeopardy
Players must have a minimum street cred rank of one before this gig becomes available. Players won't need to answer in the form of a question, just collect a data shard with a special program. Oh, and the datashard is stuck inside a dead body.
- At The Funeral Home - Players can avoid violence if they are clever. They can use the holographic simulator to distract the guard, slipping past them into the room they were guarding. From here, players need to disabled a security camera before hacking the elevator to open its doors so they can get inside and get into the morgue.
- Take Out The Doctor - While it's easy to kill the doctor in the room, players can also simply distract them to get the datashard they need after scanning Jim Greyer's body.
Once players have the shard, they should sneak out of the building the same way they came in. Once they drop it off at the nearest drop point, this gig will be completed.
4 Life’s Work
Players must have a minimum street cred rank of one before this gig becomes available. Players will be tasked with retrieving a special car and uploading a virus to the 6th Street gang's computer systems. If V doesn't complete the mission peacefully, it becomes impossible to get the best outcome in the Stadium Love gig so we recommend players take a stealthy approach.
- Sneak Inside - Thankfully, it's very easy to get inside the shop. There are three entrances, but players with enough body ability to break open the door that requires it will find themselves right next to the car. There's only a single guard to sneak by when loading the virus onto the computer. Once it's in, players can get into the car and drive away.
From here, players should deliver the car to Jake Estevez and can complete the gig once they suffer through a conversation with him.
3 Playing For Keeps
Players must have a minimum street cred rank of one before this gig becomes available. Players will need to retrieve Jacob Lamb's implant in this gig.
- Getting Inside - Players can start by entering the front door but in the end, they will need to go around to the private rooms in the back. There is a single guard located there who can easily be distracted by hacking the vending machine before taking them out and throwing their body in the nearby dumpster.
- Get The Keycard - Once inside, players will be in the back of the bar with one more enemy to take out. Players can then find a key card on a shelf that opens a previously locked door. From here, players learn there is a hidden poker room underground.
- Get The Eye - Players can steal the eye themself, but why go through all that effort? If they confront the bartender and wait patiently, he will retrieve the eye for them.
Once players have the eye, they can take it to the drop point to complete this gig.
2 Serious Side Effects
Players must have a minimum street cred rank of one before this gig becomes available. Players will need to retrieve a gallon of beta acid for a ripperdoc who had it stolen from them. Players can optionally figure out what happened to Booker Updike, the person previously charged with this task.
- The Dewdrop Inn - There is a myriad of ways to get into the inn but it's easiest to simply rent a room there at the front desk. Players can then head to room 103 where they can use their technical ability to get into the door or bride the mechanic nearby to open it using the following dialogue options: Looking for Booker Updike. - Open his room for me - €$1000 [Bribe]. Players then can scan his body to complete this objective.
- Find The Beta Acid - Players then can head to the second floor and jump onto the balcony until they reach the final one on that floor. Players then can break into the room where they'll find three enemies that are sitting ducks and easy to take out from behind.
Players then can collect the beta acid and drop it off at the nearest drop point. Doing so will complete this gig.
1 The Lord Giveth and Taketh Away
Players must have a minimum street cred rank of thirteen before this gig becomes available. V will need to retrieve a Militech vehicle to complete this gig.
- Don't Worry About Stealth - The mission implies that players should sneak their way in but there is no bonus involved for doing so. These enemies go down easily, so don't be afraid to gun them all down. Players can have an even easier time if they decide to go in through the back door where fewer enemies are standing on guard.
Once all the enemies in the area are taken out, players simply get into the SUV and deliver it to complete this gig.
