Cyberpunk 2077, like many games before it, offers players the opportunity to romance its many characters. One of the first characters that players meet while progressing through the story, Judy, is among the list of characters that can be romanced in Cyberpunk, but players will need to do quite a bit before getting to that point.

Early on in Cyberpunk 2077, players will meet Judy Alvarez, a member of the Moxes and a talented Braindance technician. She's an integral part of the story early on, but players won't be able to try and romance her until later on in the game after completing a few tasks for her.

For starters, there is one big requirement that will determine whether or not players can romance Judy, and that's what gender they chose at the beginning of the game. Though Cyberpunk 2077 handles gender in a unique way, Judy can only be romanced by characters with female genitalia.

Judy Alvarez Romance Option

Assuming players are using this type of character, they will then need to complete a series of quests for Judy. None of this is available until completion of the main job the Space in Between, so players should focus on just completing the story up until that point. Afterwards, Judy will give the player a call after 10 real life hours and offer the first of many side jobs. During these quests, it's important to treat Judy with kindness and generally work with her to achieve her goals, as being too antagonistic towards her will lock the romance option.

The first side job is called Both Sides Now, during which players will help Judy cope with the loss of a loved one. This quest is easy enough, and as long as players are nice to Judy there shouldn't be an issue. 12 real life hours later, they'll be given the Ex-Factor side job, but this time there's an important choice. Players can choose whether to spare or kill Woodman, and those wanting to romance Judy should side with her and kill him. Two and a half hours later, Talking About a Revolution will become available, another quest for Judy where players can choose to accept or deny payment. It's not clear whether this choice matters, but denying the payment is definitely a safe option.

Finally, players will then need to complete the Pisces quest, choosing to allow Clouds to declare its independence. After this, the final quest in the chain will become available. During Pyramid Song, players can choose to go diving with Judy, and by the end of the quest there will be an option to romance her. The following morning, players can choose whether it was a one night stand or instead to start a relationship with Judy.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available on December 10th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
