CD PROJEKT RED enjoyed enormous success in 2015 with GOTY (Game of the Year) releases like The Witcher 3, a grim-dark fantasy world where only shades of gray exist and virtually every decision has a repercussion down the road. Despite the immense critical and fan reception previous titles received, technical issues plagued 2020's Cyberpunk 2077 launch. After spending almost ten years in "development hell" before being released, the game now offers a much-improved experience and has been lauded by both new and returning players alike for the past three years.

While players and industry insiders once fretted over the future of the game and its publisher, the intervening three years have seen several improvements to Cyberpunk 2077 across multiple platforms, including the PS4/PS5, Xbox X/S, and gaming PCs. One major issue that was resolved was the inherent limitations on the size of saved files, which once proved to be a point of considerable frustration for many gamers when over-filled files became automatically corrupted and unable to be accessed.

Thankfully, players no longer need to worry about this issue. A host of other frustrating problems have been addressed. Cyberpunk 2077 now includes a better ability to adjust sensitivity settings for driving, reduced instances of stuck traffic, and fewer incidents involving V's vehicles becoming mysteriously trapped and unable to maneuver. Following feedback from the player community, CD PROJEKT RED also cleaned up the UI (user interface) menu, gave players the ability to reset their perks for an in-game monetary cost, made adjustments to the seemingly incredibly well-funded and teleporting police force, and made frequently requested fixes to previously unplayable side quests and ensured that quests generally unfold as they are meant to proceed. Whether a player is new to Cyberpunk 2077 or is excited to return to discover the new free and paid DLC (downloadable content), there are plenty of changes in store and a whole new story for those willing to make the investment. While the file size of the upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC tops out at an impressive 32.93 GB (at least for the PS5), players who were hoping for much more added content will have a lot to anticipate.
