Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC is an action-packed new adventure for players that reveals a new side to Night City. V is pulled into the middle of a governmental coup, hoping they can get rid of Johnny Silverhand once and for all.
Everything starts in Dogtown after receiving a call from a mysterious Netrunner named Songbird, who recruits V to help with a dire situation. Dog Eat Dog is the first mission in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, so if players want to make sure they nail the introduction, they can use this complete guide.
Dog Eat Dog Guide
Dog Eat Dog begins with a phone call from someone called Songbird, that says she can save V's life. V can then agree to meet up with her and will receive directions to her location in Dogtown.
Dogtown is a black market district in Pacifica, and players aren't able to walk into the area due to the high security. After arriving at the gate, go to the right to trigger a cutscene with Songbird, where she mutes Johnny and discusses her problem. Songbird tells V that she is on a plane with the President of the NUSA (New USA) that is being hijacked and forced to land in Dogtown.
V is their only contact on the ground and potentially the only one who can help the President get out of this alive. After agreeing to help them, Songbird unlocks a new skill tree called Relic Skills for V before pointing her in the right direction to begin.
Go inside the Garage
Songbird takes V further around the security entrance and says they can enter Dogtown through a garage. However, a few guards are blocking the way. Players can sneak past them or start fighting, but the stealth route is more manageable. There's a direct path to the garage entrance if players stay towards the back and around the military truck. There are two guards they will want to grab and take down quietly to ensure they won't be seen.
Take down the guard at the vehicle's rear and put him in the nearby dumpster. The other guard is standing in front of two storage containers but won't see players if they come up being crouched. With the guards out of the way, players can beeline for the garage and slide under the door to continue the mission.
Find the Maintenance Room
Players will need to continue deeper into the garage once inside. There's a small opening in the wall on the right that they can crouch down to crawl through, and the next step is to find an access point to restore power in the building.
There's a large metal sheet covering the path to the maintenance room. Move the sheet and drop into the lower section of the garage. Players will see the entrance to the maintenance room up a set of stairs. The access point can't be used without first restarting the generator.
The generator is in the back of the room on the left. Players can turn it on and then jack into the access point across from the shelves next to the entrance. From that point, they can hop on to the elevator and talk to Songbird again. The elevator takes them deeper into the parking garage, and they'll cross the technical border into Dogtown.
Reach the Car Elevator Platform
Players must go to the car elevator platform to find their way out of the garage. Step off the small elevator, take a left, and follow the location pin to the right. Songbird will turn on lights as players get closer to the platform.
Crawl over the car blocking the path and drop into the hole. There will be a section labeled 2A with an illuminated ramp near it. Go up the ramp and climb the van with the steel beam leaning on it. A bridge to the platform will lower itself once V gets close enough, and then Songbird will activate it when they are standing on it.
Find the Catwalk
After riding the elevator down and stepping off, the railing will break, and V will fall down another level. Their next destination will be finding the catwalk on the upper level. Songbird will continue to light up the areas as players pass through them. Go forward and climb up the upside-down car. Then, go to the left and wait for Songbird to send over a small platform as she asks questions about Johnny.
Keep following the enlightened paths upwards. Eventually, players will see a car with a platform across from it. If their Body stat is 11 or higher, they can push the platform down and use it as a shortcut. Otherwise, they will need to continue to the right.
The path gets more complicated with larger gaps and higher places to jump onto, but V can keep moving forward. Eventually, they will see Songbird standing on the catwalk across from a broken platform. Step onto the catwalk and follow Songbird to the elevator out of the garage.
Go to the Construction Site
The elevator takes players to the street floor. They can exit through a garage door outside the elevator if they have a Body stat of three or higher. Finally, go up the stairs and to the left to enter the black market. Players will be led through the market to a railing where they will pause and talk to Songbird again about their fate with the relic.
After a short discussion:
- Go through the market until a set of double doors is next to a happy hour sign.
- Go through the gates and head to the roof access door through the construction site.
- Take the stairs and follow the path to a yellow ladder up to the roof.
At the top of the ladder, Songbird will accidentally blow the fuse to the roof elevator. Players can jack in directly to the access point across from where the ladder is to help her restore the power and ride it up to the top of the building. They can climb further along the roof to better view the President's flight. However, they see it crash before it gets the chance to land.
The final objective in Dog Eat Dog is to jump down the trash chute and find the crash site. This will conclude the introduction to Phantom Liberty and players next move will be to save the President before she gets taken down.
