Cyberpunk 2077 is finally available, and while critics and fans alike have been enjoying their first hours spent with the game, there is no denying that it is buggy in its current state. One of the many Cyberpunk 2077 bugs discovered is more entertaining that frustrating, however, as it sees all the game’s NPCs being given a gun.

Popular Twitch streamer and YouTuber Dunkey stumbled upon the gun glitch while playing through the game naturally, laughing loudly at the Cyberpunk 2077 NPCs holding the weapons. Sitting calmly and not looking threatening in the slightest, the pistols being held by the characters offset their neutral attitudes. Everywhere Dunkey looks, people can be seen wielding pistols, with the animations getting funnier the longer Dunkey looks at the civilians.

As if they were holding nothing, one of the people populating Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City reaches to rest their head on their chin. With the gun clipping through the NPCs face, Dunkey begins to laugh hysterically, blown away by the random glitch. The clip was shared to the LivestreamFail subreddit by tacolben, and multiple commenters clearly enjoyed seeing the moment. Redditors delivered many jokes in response, with some users joking that “Night City is America in the future” due to the amount of guns seen in the clip.

However, aside from jokes, other users confirmed that this is not a one-off occurrence. According to Reddit user Jfeth, the bug has led to him finding “a little girl with playing hopscotch with a gun” in his game. Clearly, some absurd Cyberpunk 2077 bugs exist in the current version of the game, and it will be interesting to see how long they remain intact. While this bug is particularly funny and not too harmful to the experience, one Redditor commented that it can be used as an exploit, too.

According to GeishasLeg, players can acquire a whole bunch of weapons to “use or sell” by scaring off the crowd that is holding onto them. In a different Cyberpunk 2077 stream from Lirik, a little kid was seen holding a weapon, dropping it on the ground after V startled the youngster. Fully usable and sellable, if players see a crowd holding glitched weapons like in the Dunkey clip, shooing them off could lead to lots of free loot. While this makes for more of a game-breaking Cyberpunk 2077 bug, players not against using exploits could make use of the trick.

While Cyberpunk 2077’s day one update reportedly fixed many of the bugs in the game’s console versions, there are clearly still a few that have persisted. As of now, it seems like danger truly does lurk around every corner of Night City, as some players have entered a world where any character can gun them down.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming in 2021.
