While E3 2019 may be officially over, fans are still buzzing over the excitement that Cyberpunk 2077 stirred up during Microsoft's press conference. Following a new cinematic trailer that featured the male version of the player character V, the surprise reveal came towards the end with Keanu Reeves confirmed to be playing a character known as Johnny Silverhand. While no gameplay was shown publicly, fans got all sorts of new information, including how players can shape the end of the game.

In an interview at E3 2019 with YouTuber YongYea, Cyberpunk 2077's quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz confirmed that the game will have multiple endings, a fact that shouldn't be surprising to longtime fans of CD Projekt RED. Tomaszkiewicz stopped short of revealing exactly how many endings players could find or if it's going to be more than the three that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt offered players.

The interview also confirmed that the studio is looking into adding a photo mode, though at this time it's hard to tell if the feature is going to make it into the game by launch. It's a change of pace from the messaging that was given last fall, when the official Twitter account for the game confirmed to a fan question that there would be a photo mode available for use.

It's clear that CD Projekt RED is attempting to create a game that gives players complete freedom to how they approach missions and combat. Part of the way the developer achieves such a feat in this ambitious title is giving players the option to not augment their character outside of the first two given to them during the prologue. In addition to playing through without augments, players can also complete Cyberpunk 2077 non-lethally, something that the developer has not shown off yet through the trailers and gameplay footage from last year.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16th, 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
