Even before Cyberpunk 2077 was released, it's clear that Night City is a cesspool of excess. It's a place where anyone's wildest dreams can come true and they can do almost anything-- even become immortal. That's why it's also a degenerate and lawless haven. In Night City almost everyone is a sex-crazed junkie cyborg drunk on violence and apathy.

Still, that doesn't mean they're not allowed to be a beacon in the darkness or a diamond in the rough. While the game does force players to do some unethical stuff from time to time, they can still counterbalance it with some good deeds. Luckily, there's no shortage of opportunities to still qualify in heaven (if it still exists in Cyberpunk 2077's universe). The game has plenty of wholesome people and moments for players to cherish.

10 Following Traffic Rules

GlaDOS in Cyberpunk 2077

Yes, it's boring and you're probably fed up with the abysmal driving AI and poor vehicle controls but maybe not running over citizens or maxing out someone else's car accident insurance has its own tranquil charms. Apart from making players feel like a competent driver, the police will be nicer to them.

Following not just the traffic lights but also the road lanes and signs is a healthy mindset in Cyberpunk 2077. Every once in a while, do some immersion and stop being such a war freak. On the plus side, driving safe can also hide poor AI reactions and pathing.

9 Befriending Johnny Silverhand

Cyberpunk 2077 Johnny Silverhand Looking Into Distance With Shades

Beneath that misogynistic rocker boy facade is someone who simply wants to free Night City from the maw of corporate greed. Johnny Silverhand said it himself, he goes up against Arasaka because of his sympathy for the oppressed people.

If players can look past his bad qualities then they can actually be good friends with him. Johnny Silverhand might not look the part but he actually cares for V and gives sound advice from time to time. Besides, the man practically wears his pain on his sleeve and just wants to die and finally get his rest.

8 Saving Some Monks Without Violence

cyberpunk monks

Surprisingly enough, there are people in Cyberpunk 2077's world who have chosen to abstain from cybernetics. Players can see some of them roaming around-- monks, Buddhist monks. Unfortunately, nothing is ever sacred to some of the denizens of Night City; some punks have kidnapped one of them in the quest "Sacrum Profanum."

This was where one of the kidnapped friend's monks asked V for help and has nothing to offer as a reward. The monk also asks you to rescue his friend without killing anyone or being violent. It's one of the best ways in the game to reset your karma after all that Jig-Jig Street sinning.

7 Attending Jackie's Funeral

Some players couldn't stand the scripted game sections with Jackie and couldn't wait to rid themselves of the choom. However, he's still V's friend and is one of the most human characters in the game as he has a living relative in Night City.

Attending Jackie's funeral presents plenty of chances for V to comfort everyone and be a nicer-than-usual person overall. From helping Mama Wells with the proceedings to allowing Misty to grieve better. The slow and heartfelt moment was a welcome change after the high-octane fixer missions and near-death experiences.

6 Using Non-Lethal Weapons

Despite the myriad of cool katanas and a wide selection of guns in Night City, players don't have to go for lethal means of dealing with their enemies. Something as safe as blunt weapons or even your fists can be just as effective while still keeping your conscience clear at night.

On the off chance that they're forced to use guns, there's actually a way to incapacitate an enemy without killing them. Just avoid shooting them in the vital parts. If you see them squirming on the ground instead of resting in pieces, then you can rest assured that V is still allowed in purgatory at the very least.

5 Helping The Police

Cyberpunk 2077 Cripple Movement

They're not exactly saints themselves but the police of Night City is the thin line of defense keeping the gangs from turning the whole place into a free-for-all. They do serve corporate interests most of the time but some manage to keep the regular citizen from being turned into a street criminal's personal ATM.

In that regard, V can help protect the smaller guys by looking for ongoing assaults or arrests and then lending a helping hand. For extra moral uptightness, players can choose to wear an all-black get-up and go non-lethal on them while brooding about their dead parents.

4 Cyberpsycho Hunting

Cyberpunk 2077 Memory Wipe

In addition to crimefighting in Night City, players can also put some troubled souls of their misery. People in Night City who have spliced themselves up with too many cybernetics or implants tend to ruin themselves with the mental disorders packaged with such a practice.

They turn into cyberpsychos and are in need of some serious rehabilitation or counseling. That's why methods of dealing with them should be automatically non-lethal. Doing missions associated with cyberpsychos not only keeps other people in Night City safe but also lets players save some otherwise condemned souls.

3 Capturing Rogue AIs

Cyberpunk 2077 Cyberware Malfunction

It's not just humans that turn rogue and go insane in Night City but also artificial intelligence. A case in point is Delamain's automated driving service which went haywire and started cruising around the streets like maniacs.

Delamain apologetically asks V to round them all up before they ruin Night City any further. The problem is, doing these missions can be a real pain since they're AI vehicles with weapons. Thankfully, players can resort to lethal violence here because they don't count as humans and they'll be keeping the highways of Night City a lot safer too.

2 Helping River Ward

River Ward is a cop but he's proven that he's one of the good ones. He saw how ineffective the NCPD was and even went out of his way to help people or warn others of impending danger. The point is, he one of the most wholesome people in Night City, which is saying something.

That's why helping River Ward is a sure way for him to rub off his wholesomeness to V. Even after getting axed out of NCPD, River Ward continued being a Private Investigator to help Night City in any way he can and serve his own brand of straight justice.

1 Talking To Brendan

brendan cyberpunk

Turns out the nicest person in Night City isn't even human. It's actually an AI vending machine named Brendan. Out of all the entities players talk to in Night City, Brendan is unconditionally polite, friendly, and kind.

In a place riddled with opportunists and a dog-eat-dog mentality, a vending machine that cracks some puns and jokes and also gives beverages for free is the most precious thing players should protect in Night City. There ought to be a secret ending where players can put Brendan in a biochip and let him take over their personality. That's much preferable over Johnny Silverhand.
