Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves asked Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED to feature him in the game more, it has been revealed. Reeves, who plays Johnny Silverhand in the cyberpunk RPG, has the second most dialogue of any character in the game and fans now know that this is all the actor's doing.

In a post on Facebook, TGCOM 24 journalist Gian Luca Rocco shared some of the biggest reveals from his interview with Luca Ward, who has recorded the Italian voice acting for Reeves' Cyberpunk 2077 character. Ward told the journalist that Reeves liked Cyberpunk 2077 so much that he got CD Projekt RED to double his presence in the game. This doubled the time spent in the recording studio for Ward, which is how the voice actor knows about this.

Few will be surprised to learn that Reeves is excited about Cyberpunk 2077 and his character in the game. After the explosive reveal of his character at E3 2019, Reeves also autographed the sign of a Cyberpunk 2077 fan and has kept on speaking positively about the game, his experience being part of it, and the fans who have supported his casting in it. The development team at CD Projekt RED has also said that Reeves helped to build Johnny Silverhand, and had many ideas on how the character would act and sound.

Reeves' character of Johnny Silverhand isn't a Cyberpunk 2077 love interest, meaning that none of the dialogue recorded by the actor features flirting with the protagonist, V. However, as the character lives on a chip inserted into the player character's head, all of the dialogue and acting the Reeves has done will probably fit seamlessly into the game. This will have also given CD Projekt RED a way to fit all of the acting in without most of it ending up on the editing room floor.

Fans of the actor will be hoping that Reeves' experience in Cyberpunk 2077 will prompt him to take on other video game roles. Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima would like to work with Reeves, and others, such as Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon, have said that they'd like to create John Wick DLC. It's unclear whether those developers are working on getting Reeves into their voice recording booths and if he's been approached. However, having had such a good time as Johnny Silverhand, Reeves may telling his agent not just to look at screen acting.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on April 16, 2020 on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
