CD Projekt RED reveals just how much dialogue Keanu Reeves' character Johnny Silverhand has in Cyberpunk 2077. The Keanu Reeves character reveal was one of the most talked about moment at E3 2019 as fans had not been expecting the Hollywood star, known for his roles in The Matrix and John Wick, to be in the game.

Speaking to Geoff Keighley at E3 2019, CD Projekt RED founder Marcin Iwinski said that Keanu Reeves has the second most dialogue in Cyberpunk 2077. Iwiński estimates that Keanu did around 15 days of voice recording in the studio. The only character who has more lines of dialogue in the game than Keanu Reeves is the player character, V. When reading this, it makes it more of a surprise that Microsoft was able to keep Reeves' appearance at E3 2019 a secret.

The developer also said that Reeves' role in the game is "huge" and that fans will "see a lot of Keanu, you will hear even more of Keanu in the game." Few fans will mind seeing so much of Reeves' character in the game. Reeves is a hugely popular actor with gamers, having starred in the John Wick action movies, which have also gotten a spin-off game called John Wick Hex. The Matrix is also one of the most popular movie series in the world with plenty of video game adaptations of its own, and so many Cyberpunk 2077 fans have much love for Reeves.

The reaction to Reeves' showing up on stage at E3 2019 is evidence of this. The actor's appearance at the event is seen as one of the most surprising announcements of E3 2019 and it was one of the few things that didn't leak ahead of the presentation. Some also called the moment when a fan called Reeves "breathtaking" and got a compliment right back as one of the most wholesome moments of E3 2019.

With Reeves being in Cyberpunk 2077 so much, it means that trailers will only scratch the surface of all of that dialogue. Fans will want to see Reeves using his voice acting and motion capture talented and will want to know more about the connection between player character V and the character of Johnny Silverhand. Silverhand will also have much to say about corporations and the culture of Night City. CD Projekt RED has confirmed that it will be showing off more Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay at PAX West in August and while it will only offer a hint of what to expect from the character, fans will still be glad to see more.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16th, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
