Aside from the bugs and problematic conditions behind its production, Cyberpunk 2077 has been fairly well received. Players are hunting for the best gear, but there's another way to get it besides farming legendary item components.
Specifically, it's possible to get gear that isn't just legendary, but genuinely iconic within Cyberpunk 2077: Johnny Silverhand's gear. It's hard to deny that Keanu Reeves' portrayal of Johnny Silverhand is stylish, and his gear is more than just for show. Some of the finest gear in Cyberpunk 2077 was once worn by the ghost in V's head, but it still exists in the world. Here's how to get each of the items once owned by Johnny Silverhand.
Johnny's Tank Top
This one is the easiest to get, and the first step to getting all of Johnny Silverhand's gear. By completing the main storyline, players will eventually be given a side-job called Tapeworm. At a certain point during the quest, Johnny will have a chat with the player. Listen to everything he says and it will guide the player to the Hotel Pistis Sophia where the Tank Top is given to the player for free.
Chippin' In
The side-job Chippin' In unlocks after completing Tapeworm, and this is where the majority of Johnny Silverhand's gear is found. Take the job and, when asked by Johnny, let him take full control of V. After a night of carousing, the player will find they have acquired Johnny's Aviators. On top of that, Rogue will contact the player the next day and offer them Johnny's Samurai Jacket.
After the main bulk of the Chippin' In mission, players will encounter a defeated foe named Grayson. One detail some players miss is the gun lying at his feet. Grab that, as it's Johnny's personal firearm: the Malorian 3516. This is probably one of the best and coolest guns in the game.
Finally, the player is given a choice to spare or kill Grayson. Johnny wants him dead, but for once in this questline, ignore him. In gratitude, Grayson gives the player a keycard and tells them to unlock a nearby container. Lower the container with a nearby control panel, and then open it to find Johnny's Car: a Porsche 911 Turbo. This is one of the best free cars in Cyberpunk 2077, and the opportunity should not be missed. Technically the card can be looted off Grayson's body as well, but players will not be told what it's for.
The Lower Body
Last are Johnny's shoes and pants. First, reach 38 street cred. At this point, players can take on the Psychofan and Family Heirloom Gigs. In the Psychofan Gig, head up to the second floor of the apartment accessed for the gig and check the pink suitcase for pants. In the Family Heirloom Gig, there's a certain locker containing the shoes. Once those items have been obtained, any time players aren't turning V into a vending machine they can dress him up as Johnny Silverhand.
