Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update made some significant changes to the game's implementation of Cyberware. Among those changes was the introduction of Cyberware Capacity, a gameplay system that limits the technology that V can install into their body. For those players that would like to raise that limit, this guide details all the ways in which they can increase V's Cyberware Capacity in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077: How to Raise Cyberware Capacity Limit
Level Up
The most consistent way of increasing Cyberware Capacity is to raise V's level, as players will receive +3 Cyberware Capacity every time that they level up. While this may not seem like a particularly significant amount, it definitely adds up, and players that want to install the best chrome that the game has to offer should put some real effort toward leveling up in Cyberpunk 2077.
Perks
Players that want to maximize their Cyberware Capacity should look into unlocking the Renaissance Punk perk, which is found at the bottom of the Technical Ability tree. Indeed, this perks grants +4 Cyberware Capacity for each Attribute at 9 or higher, giving maxed out characters a significant 20 point boost to their limit.
The Edgerunner perk that appears at the top of theTechnical Ability tree also effectively gives players 50 additional Cyberware Capacity points on top of what they have earned by other means. There is a notable drawback to this perk, though, as Cyberpunk 2077's V will have -0.5% Max Health for each additional point that is used. Even still, fans that want to go all in on chrome should definitely consider picking up Edgerunner.
Engineer Skill
Players will receive five Cyberware Capacity at Engineer Level 5 and another 10 Cyberware Capacity at Engineer Level 30. While fans that pursue optional content are likely to reach those levels through standard gameplay, players that want to expedite the process should focus on disabling devices, throwing grenades, and scoring kills with Tech weapons in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberware Capacity Shards
The final way to increase Cyberware Capacity is to obtain Cyberware Capacity Shards, Progression Shards that permanently raise the limit by a designated amount. To obtain these Shards, Cyberpunk 2077 players will need to be diligent about looting bodies and containers, as they have a chance to appear on and in them. That said, the drop rate for Cyberware Capacity Shards seems to be quite low, and fans should not expect to loot them very often.
