Cyberpunk 2077 is back with Update 2.0 and the much-anticipated Phantom Liberty Expansion pack, New and returning fans are sure to enjoy the many improvements and gameplay tweaks.

Phantom Liberty brings a new focus to vehicular combat gameplay. Expect to get into more chases during missions. On top of simply shooting out the windows of cars, there are also new weaponized vehicles added to the game. These vehicles come with machine guns and missile launchers directly attached to them. Players can use these vehicles to destroy enemies during chase sequences. This guide will demonstrate how to use weaponized vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077.

Unlock a Weaponized Vehicle

Players will need to acquire a weaponized vehicle to call them on V's phone. Visit an Autofixer terminal or the computer in V's apartment to purchase the Quartz "Specter." V can also find the unique Quadra Type-66 Hoon in the Watson area after they have completed the Heist. Search the warehouse area in the northern part of Watson and complete the "I'm In Love With My Car" side quest to receive this Ken Block-inspired machine, Both of these vehicles are part of the 2.0 Update, so players who do not own Phantom Liberty can acquire them.

As V continues through the main Phantom Liberty missions, they will unlock the ability to purchase some more weaponized vehicles. Take note of the symbols when purchasing them. An ammo symbol indicates that the car is equipped with a machine gun, while missile symbols indicate that it is equipped with missile launchers.

Weaponized Vehicle Controls

Weaponized vehicles drive just like normal cars in Cyberpunk 2077. Press the Triangle/Y button to activate the vehicle's weapons. Press the button again to cycle between weapons if there are multiple equipped. The car will automatically lock on to enemies, but this can be changed in the settings. If these settings are changed, press L1/LB to aim. Press R1/RB to fire the equipped weapon.

Weaponized vehicles have an infinite amount of ammo, but still need to reload. The symbol for the weapon will be in the center of the HUD when it is reloading. Press the Circle/B button to unequip the vehicle's weapons. Have fun tearing up the roads of Night City in new vehicle encounters and running from the revamped police.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
