Cyberpunk 2077 has received the long-awaited 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty expansion. Players returning to Night City for the first time since release might be surprised by the amount of fixes and altered gameplay elements that have resulted in a much more pleasent experience. One of these is the way that V buys new cars for their collection.

Night City is a large open world to explore and V can travel in style with all sorts of futuristic vehicles. Prior to Update 2.0 buying cars was an annoying process where fixers constantly spammed V's cellphones with new offers. With the release of the highly anticipated expansion, this process has been streamlined and no longer clogs up the phone with messages. Here is how to buy cars in Cyberpunk 2077 post-patch.

V must now buy vehicles through Autofixer Terminals. These terminals have been placed throughout Night City. Open the map and filter locations to service points to find them. They will be indicated by a small car symbol next to a dollar sign. V can also go to the Autofixer website on their computer in apartment buildings.

The fixer named El Capitan runs the Autofixer website and will send an email to players during the game's prologue. The cars that V can purchase are now tied to their Street Cred level. Street Cred is a separate level meter that gauges V's reputation as a mercenary in Night City. Gain more Street Cred by completing side quests and gigs for the Fixers throughout town. Players can also gain Street Cred by killing criminals who are wanted by the NCPD. Use the scanner on gang members to learn how much Street Cred can be gained for taking them out.

Hold the Square/X button to use the terminals. This will bring the player to the Autofixer home page. Use the cursor to scroll up and down to select the different fictional car manufacturers. Choose a manufacturer to see which cars are available from them. Phantom Liberty and the 2.0 update have also added vehicles with weapons attached to them. These vehicles will have an ammo or missile symbol indicating what type of weapon they have. Choose a vehicle and purchase it. That vehicle will be added to V's phone to call up when needed, making it much easier than ever before.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
