Cyberpunk 2077: The Highwayman Gig - The Basics

The Highwayman gig is a side quest in Cyberpunk 2077 in Act 1. The quest is available to all players regardless of their selected lifepath. The side quest is only accessible after completing the Complete the Ride gig.

Highwayman Gig Starting Location

To start The Highwayman Gig in Cyberpunk 2077, the player must reach a garage in Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo. After interacting with the garage door, the player can investigate a wrecked motorcycle, which will initiate a conversation with Johnny. Once the conversation has ended, the player can interact with a photo next to a computer in the garage, which will initiate the gig. The primary objective of the gig is to locate James and discover Josie’s fate.

Cyberpunk 2077: The Highwayman Gig - Complete Walkthrough

  1. Head over to Japantown to find James sitting under a tree located near the bridge heading towards Watson.
  2. Make way to the metro station south of Memorial Park in The Glen, Heywood.
  3. Use the scanner to find blood on the ground and follow them to an alleyway with a dumpster. Josie’s body can be found behind said dumpster.
  4. Pick up the shard and head to Josie’s secret garage in Northside, Watson.
  5. Open the garage door using the code 0214 to find the stolen bike, the Nazare “Itsumade.” Players can choose to keep the stolen bike.
  6. Return to James and inform him of Josie’s fate.
  7. The player can choose to leave the area or select the second option to kill James. Either way, the mission will be complete.

Cyberpunk 2077: The Highwayman Gig – Tips and Trivia

  • PS4 players will need to enter the garage code using the â—Ż button on the controller.
  • The wrecked motorcycle in the garage in Rancho, Coronado, Santo Domingo, cannot be scanned despite being marked.
  • The gig is named after a poem by Alfred Noyes from 1905. The Highwayman poem closely resembles the themes of the gig from Cyberpunk 2077.

Regardless of the choices made in Night City, players will be rewarded with 574 Street Cred, 31 EXP, and the Nazare “Itsumade” when The Highway Man gig is complete.
