With Cyberpunk 2077 finally out, people are now able to explore the world of Night City. Many of the side missions in Cyberpunk 2077 require the player to learn more about the city's social structure and the people who inhabit it.

One quest called "Happy Together" centers around V's neighbor Barry and some cops outside his door that are worried about him. Apparently, he has not come out of his apartment in a couple of days.

Unfortunately, the steps in this quest are somewhat vague, and making wrong choices in the Cyberpunk 2077 side quest can have serious consequences for the characters involved. To help fans interested in completing this quest fully, here is the correct way to complete this mission.

Cyberpunk 2077 Reduced Price

The first step to this is to talk to the two cops in Cyberpunk 2077 outside the apartment. The responses here won't matter that much, and any option will start the quest just as planned. V will then be instructed to talk to Barry and knock on his door, but it won't open. Players will need to come back after 24 in-game hours have passed. Gamers do have the option to skip time in the menu if they don't feel like waiting.

After 24 hours have passed, the cops will leave the apartment, and V can finally talk to Barry. This is where dialogue selection options become very important; choosing the wrong ones can immediately end the quest. Additionally, it is important to use all optional blue dialogue options to open up the correct objective path. A list of the mandatory dialogue options are:

  • "I just want to talk."
  • "Your friends asked me to drop by."
  • Sit on Barry's couch and say, "I lost someone too," and "NCPD hasn't improved, has it?"
  • "What about your friends on the force?"
  • "How'd Andrew die?"
  • "So Andrew was like a grandpa to you?"
  • "People die, You move on" or "We have to forget the dead."

Choosing the "People die, you move on" option is vital because it allows the player to look for Andrew's Niche in Cyberpunk 2077. It is also important to find the niche before talking to the cops outside the apartment. Travel to the Columbarium fast travel point in Westbrook, North Oak. One of the big stone tablets will have a blue glowing inscription that's titled "In loving memory of my best friend, Andrew."

Cyberpunk 2077 Hacking In The Trailer

After investigating Andrew's niche, head back to the cops outside the apartment. To get a positive ending and save Barry in Cyberpunk 2077, chose the "I visited Andrew's grave" option to the cops. This will make them realize that they have been teasing Barry too much, and that's why he stopped opening up to them. The cops will then walk up to Barry's door, and he will finally open up to them.

Failing to do any of these steps results in Barry committing suicide, and the quest would be over. The rewards for completing the positive outcome in this mission is $1020, 182XP, and 410 Street Cred. Hopefully, this guide helps Cyberpunk 2077 fans want to make sure Barry comes out of this okay.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions in development.
