While there are quite a few rides in Cyberpunk 2077 that will cost V a pretty penny, there are also a number of them that can be obtained for free. Unless players have used the unlimited money glitch in Cyberpunk, they will probably want to spend their money on cybernetics, weapons, armor, and other such stuff that will help them out in combat. So, it's easy to see why players would want these free rides, especially since the majority of them look pretty cool even compared to the paid options. Players who want to deck out their car collection with personalized vehicles that are a blast to use can find many free Cyberpunk 2077 cars.

Cyberpunk 2077: 27 Best Ripperdoc Upgrades, Ranked

As V climbs their way to the top in Night city, they'll need some epic cyberware upgrades from the local Ripperdocs. Here are some of the best.

While players can definitely pay top-dollar for some cars in the game, it's the free ones that end up being the most memorable of the lot. These vehicles are a blast to drive around in, and players will love the fact that they were earned by exploring and completing quests instead of just trying to earn as much as possible. It makes the prize even sweeter, especially when some of these free vehicles end up being more enjoyable to drive than most other cars and bikes that require an investment of some sort.

Updated on October 5, 2023, by Ritwik Mitra: Cyberpunk 2077 features a massive city that players can explore to their heart's content, with the verticality of this landscape coupled with the wealth of things players can accomplish here making for a great time indeed. While V is pretty versatile on foot, it goes without saying that driving around in vehicles is the fastest and most efficient way to traverse this city with ease. Players will find many secrets and uncover numerous quests as they go through this title, getting a ton of free vehicles along the way that are pretty fun to drive around in their own right.

Archer Quartz "Bandit"

Cyberpunk 2077 Archer Quartz Bandit

Most people won't really get their hands on the Bandit, and it's easy to see why this is the case. Players who want to pursue a romance with Panam would try and help her out as much as possible, and aiding her in taking down Nash is one such task that most players would agree to without a second thought.

However, this goes against Rogue's wishes, who wants to keep things professional. If players talk Panam down, then Rogue appreciates their efforts and gifts them this car free of charge, which can make storming down the streets of Night City at breakneck speeds quite exhilarating.

Mizutani Shion "Coyote"

cyberpunk 2077 mizutani shion mz2

Another free vehicle that's related to a quest with Panam, the free version of the Coyote feels more like a consolation prize than something that players earned. They have to go out of their way to go behind Panam's back and tell Saul about her plans, which leads to an incensed Panam severing all ties with V and the player being locked out of any other Aldecaldos questlines.

This instance occurs during With a Little Help From My Friends, and it's easy to see why most people would side with Panam since they don't want to be locked out of an ending path and a potential romance with this character too. If players do side with Saul despite the implications, they'll receive a Mizutani Shion "Coyote" for giving him a heads-up.

Makigai Tanishi T400

Makigai Tanishi T400 in Cyberpunk 2077

The area of Pacifica is significantly expanded upon in the Phantom Liberty expansion, introducing a new borough called Dogtown that is completely riddled with crime, as the Barghest run rampant here. Suffice it to say, this DLC comes with its fair share of exclusive add-ons, including new vehicles that players can get their hands on for the very first time.

If assault rifles are your chosen jam in Cyberpunk 2077, you'll want to keep an eye out for these iconic weapons.

One such car is the Makigai Tanishi T400, which can be obtained for free if players enter Dogtown after working for Mr. Hands. This fixer will automatically contact V whenever he enters Pacifica, and all players need to do is complete a gig or two by this Fixer before getting into the meat of the DLC. After getting into Dogtown, Mr. Hands will call V and give him this vehicle as a show of thanks.

Apollo Scorpion

Cyberpunk 2077 Brennan Apollo Scorpion

Players will earn this motorcycle that once belonged to Jackie in the main job, Life During Wartime. Thankfully, it's nearly impossible to miss this one, so players can likely guarantee themselves at least one free ride.

If V sends Jackie's body to Mama Welles, the players will unlock a pretty emotional sequence where his funeral is held in El Coyote Cojo. It lets players spend quality time with Jackie's mother and his friends, making the gifting of this bike way more emotional.

Porsche 911 II Turbo

porsche 911 II (930) turbo Cyberpunk 2077

The Porsche 911 is one of the few licensed, real-life vehicles that V can get in the game. It used to belong to Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves, and players can get it for free.

During the quest, Chippin' In, players will eventually have the option to put their weapon away and say, "Got lucky today." Once V does this, players will receive a keycard, which they can use to unlock a shipping container filled with Johnny's old stuff, including the car.

Colby CX410 Butte

cyberpunk 2077 thorton colby cx410 butte

The Colby is a secret vehicle hidden out in the desert. There's not much nearby that would lead players to find it usually, but heading that way will give V a sweet new ride for free.

Players need to head to the Badlands, where they can encounter a Desert Film Set that is seemingly abandoned. Clearly, a firefight took place here, and the survivors abandoned the set while leaving behind this great car.

Rayfield Caliburn

Cyberpunk 2077 Rayfield Caliburn Requested To Location

This is the fastest vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077, and it is free to grab. During the main quest, Ghost Town, if players choose to fight the Wraiths with Panam, there will be a shipping container right beyond the fight.

Cyberpunk 2077: Every Ending, Ranked

Cyberpunk 2077 features a wide range of potential endings, but which of them is the best and most fulfilling end to the experience?

While this vehicle won't be available at that point since players will be traversing in Panam's car, they can come back to the scene of the shootout to get this vehicle. It's a pretty fun nod to Batman, with the caverns simulating the Batcave, while the car itself is totally black and looks like the Batmobile, too!

Alvarado Vato

cyberpunk 2077 villefort alvarado vato

This vehicle is won through street fighting. All players have to do is beat their opponent during the Beat on the Brat: The Glen side job. The job will bet V's 4,000 bucks against the pinks of his vehicle. Winning the fight will reward V with the car. The player should make sure to get some good melee arms first, like the Gorilla Arms, to ensure a quick win.

Street fighting is one of the best things in Cyberpunk 2077 for players who love melee combat. Of course, given how poor and destitute the loser in this battle is, players can choose to just let him keep both the car and the money if they feel generous.

Delamain No. 21

Cyberpunk 2077 Villefort Cortes Delamain No. 21

The Epistrophy side gigs will give players access to a variety of these taxis. Players have to chase down seven cabs that have been infected and decommission them. It's one of the most engaging sidequests that deals with the concept of sentient AI, and there's a pretty decent reward after seeing this side quest to completion.

As a reward, players will get a Delamain No. 21 cab regardless of how they complete the quest. However, the Delamain personality in the cab will be totally dependent on which decision players make at the very end of this quest.

Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech

cyberpunk 2077 quadra turbo-r v-tech

The Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech is a pretty great car that is a ton of fun to use. To get this car players need to head to the Glen in Heywood and grab the Life's Work gig.

After completing this quest, players will get a message from the quest-giver after waiting three in-game days. They'll get another gig called Sex on Wheels, which is basically just an elaborate quest to get this car in their collection.

Arch Nazare Itsumade

Cyberpunk 2077 ARCH Nazare Itsumade

The bikes in Cyberpunk 2077 are a blast to use, and the Arch Nazare Itsumade is no exception to this golden rule. To get this bike for free, V must head to the southeastern portion of Rancho Coronado and look for a weapons shop.

Cyberpunk 2077: Broken Builds That Are A Lot Of Fun

Players have a lot of freedom when it comes to their preferred build in Cyberpunk 2077, and these broken builds will make quick work of enemies.

This will net them The Highwayman side quest, which they need to complete in its entirety. As a reward, V will get an Itsumade for free, which is a pretty great reward indeed.

Thorton Mackinaw Beast

Cyberpunk 2077 Thorton Mackinaw Beast

The Beast in Me side job is a series of races that are a ton of fun to play through. Players undertake these races with the bartender of Afterlife, Claire, who has a grudge of her own that is resolved by the end of this questline.

After completing the final race, Claire will give a free massive vehicle called the Beast to V. It's the same car that players were using in the races if they chose not to use the car they brought for the same.

Quadra Type-66 Cthulhu

Quadra Type-66 Cthulhu in Cyberpunk 2077

During the final part of The Beast in Me, players will face off against Sampson at the final leg of the race. This is the same man who apparently caused the death of Claire's husband, but he proclaims in self-defense that both drivers were racing rashly, and it wasn't anyone's fault that the crash happened — they just got lost in the heat of the competition.

If players convince Clair to let him live, Sampson will give V a Cthulhu for free. If he dies, players will have to spend 76,000 eddies to get one of these vehicles.

Thornton Galena Rattler

Thornton Galena Rattler Cyberpunk 2077

If players choose a nomad lifepath in Cyberpunk 2077, they will get this free vehicle after completing the These Boots are Made for Walkin' side quest. It's probably the simplest free vehicle that players can get in the game... and also the one they'll get locked out of the most too.

For what it's worth, the other lifepaths also have unique quests and rewards of their own. While some people lament that the lifepaths aren't as significant as they were shaped out to be, CD Projekt Red still tried to make them as unique as possible regardless.

Hella EC-D I360

cyberpunk 2077 archer hella ec-d i360

If the name of this vehicle sounds familiar, that is because it's the starting vehicle for V in Cyberpunk 2077. In Act 2, V will lose the vehicle, but there is a way to get it back. If players get bored in Cyberpunk 2077 with the main story, all they need to do is a quick side quest to get their old vehicle back.

In the These Boots are Made for Walkin' side quest, triggered by the AI inside of the car itself, V will get some coordinates for a dump. Inside the trash piles, V's original vehicle will be waiting, fixed up, and ready to ride. Players will have three choices at this point: take the vehicle back, give the vehicle to the person who fixed it up, or pay the person who fixed it up enough money to fix up another vehicle.
