Cyberpunk 2077 has continued to receive updates over the last year, bringing it closer and closer to the image gamers originally had of it. One aspect of these updates comes in the form of making the inhabitants of Night City more vivid and realistic. Cyberpunk 2077 has already added better NPC AI, refurbished romances, and new interaction options - now, a group of players is requesting that the game's fixers each get a big mission.

In Cyberpunk 2077, fixers are fencers, smugglers, information brokers, and other well-connected professionals who ply their trade on Night City's black market. V can interact with - and dress up as - some notable fixers throughout the game. However, not all of these fixers go on to play an important role in the story.

Redditor BigBadBam kicked off the discussion with a post featuring headshots of six important fixers found in the game, including Dexter "Dex" DeShawn. In the accompanying text, they stated that it would be great if every fixer in the game eventually had a big mission for the player. One fixer already fits this pattern: Dex, who becomes a major antagonist after a job V's running for him goes horribly wrong. This would be a good way for Cyberpunk 2077 story updates to focus on existing characters instead of adding new ones.

One user expanded on this and said that it would be nice to see each fixer getting a proper introduction to the player before they start giving out jobs. This would make a good deal of sense, especially since the fallout of Dex's failed job actively harms V's reputation and career in the game's narrative. It's so bad that Rogue Amendiares, considered the best fixer in Night City, won't recommend V to her clients until V manages to boost their reputation. Giving each of the game's other fixers more time to get to know V, reach their own conclusions, and decide to recommend V to their own clients would help make V's rise more believable.

A second user noted that it's odd that killing members of a gang a fixer is aligned with doesn't seem to impact V's relationship with that fixer. They argued that it would make more sense - and add a new form of tension to the game - if killing members of the Tiger Claws gang threw a wrench into the player's ability to work with Wakako Okada. However, this is likely connected to the game's lack of a solid faction system.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
