Cyberpunk 2077 is out, and it is an absolutely enormous game. Players are rushing to uncover its secrets, make tons of eddies, complete jobs and gigs, and build V in a myriad of different ways.

However, there are some problems with Cyberpunk 2077 as of this article. The bugs and glitches are obvious, but there's also the issues caused by some clunky U.I. Some of these can be detrimental just for completing jobs and gigs, especially when it comes to Shards. Here's a little guide to cracking the Cultist's Shard in the Cyberpsycho: Blood Ritual gig.

Finding the Shard

This particular Cyberpsycho Sighting is issued when the player finds a certain site after 8 PM located in Watson. Players must first complete the Playing for Time story quest before this one becomes available. Upon arrival at the site, it becomes immediately apparent that something bloody has taken place, even if it was not the intended ritual. The player is instructed to look for survivors, but there is only one left, and they die quickly. The Cultist Shard is on the fresh corpse, so it's not a detail Cyberpunk 2077 players are likely to miss. Finding it is one thing, but cracking it is another.

Finding the Shard in the Inventory

Many players will have some trouble reading Shards at first. This is not because they are particularly tough to access, or even to crack, but because they're a little hidden in the inventory. Players must pause and scroll over to the Journal tab. Open it up and find the Shards sub-tab. Shards are organized into various categories, and this particular Shard is all the way at the bottom under a label reading [1]. The Shard's name is "It's Time."

Cracking the Shard

As players might suspect, the Shard is encrypted, and players will have to crack (or hack) it in order to read what's there. Open up the Shard and it will reveal a Breach Puzzle. It's random each time, but the method for solving it is always the same. The puzzle is pretty easy, so there's no need for extensive Intelligence skills to make it work. Complete the puzzle and the gig should move on to its next part.

Unfortunately, some players are encountering problems with the gig, specifically with the Shard cracking part. Occasionally, the game will not recognize that the Shard has been cracked and will not progress properly. Hopefully this bug, much like the flatline glitch on Steam, will soon be a memory, but for the moment it may serve as a genuine roadblock.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming in 2021.
