Cyberpunk 2077: How to Get Perk and Progression Shards (2.0 and Phantom Liberty)

Perk and Progression shards are a key method of improving V's skills, and are found throughout Cyberpunk 2077.

One great example of this is weapons that deal with an additional bleeding effect. This is incredibly powerful when used on human enemies, and they are vulnerable to this bleeding damage. There are several weapons in Cyberpunk 2077, that can deal this additional bleeding damage besides possible skills a player can unlock. These are by far the best weapons that cause bleeding a player can obtain.

8 Blue Fang

The Blue Fang iconic weapon in Cyberpunk 2077
  • Purchased from the melee vendor in the Badlands.

Although small, Blue Fang is an incredibly deadly knife that deals a lethal amount of damage, while also being small enough for the player to throw at the foes that dare face them. Unlike some weapons in Cyberpunk 2077, players are likely to miss this melee option due to needing to purchase it.

As players progress further in their playthrough of the RPG, they become more unlikely to visit vendors as the story weapons are just as powerful. However, any player hoping to create a lethal assassin should look no further than taking a trip into the badlands to pick Blue Fang.

7 Headhunter

The Headhunter iconic weapon in Cyberpunk 2077
  • Purchased from the melee weapon vendor in Pacifica.

Another possible purchase that players may forget to make during the end game of their Cyberpunk 2077 playthrough can be found during their time in Pacifica. When visiting the melee vendor here, players can purchase the headhunter.

This small dagger is another lethal knife that has a 20% chance of dealing bleeding damage, besides this, it also has a high chance of dealing additional headshot damage, as its name suggests. If they don't die from a headshot from the knife the bleed damage will certainly finish them off.

6 Jinchu-Maru

The Jinchu-Maru iconic weapon in Cyberpunk 2077
  • Dropped by Sandayu Oda during the main mission Play It Safe.

Jinchu-Maru is a lethal blade players can unlock by simply completing the main story of Cyberpunk 2077, and therefore it's near impossible to miss unless a player doesn't search enemies.

Cyberpunk 2077: 15 Interesting NPCs In Night City

Plenty of interesting NPCs can be found in Cyberpunk 2077's Night City. These fellows are some of the most noteworthy.

This tier five iconic weapon deals a decent amount of damage as well as having the 20% possibility of causing bleed damage when a player attacks an enemy with it. Besides this, the last hit when combing with this sword will always be a critical hit.

5 Stinger

The iconic weapon called Stinger in Cyberpunk 2077
  • The reward for completing the side job I'll Fly Away.

Once gaining the help of Panam which inadvertently causes the death of Scorpion, the side job I'll Fly Away will become available to players. By helping Mitch but his best friend to rest, the Nomad will reward the player by giving them the knife known as Stinger.

While very similar to Headhunter due to its multiplier when doing headshots, Stinger has a twenty-five percent chance of causing bleeding to a foe who is hit by it. It also has a chance to poison an enemy, those that it poisons will automatically receive bleed damage.

4 Byakko

The Byakko iconic weapon in Cyberpunk 2077
  • Given to V after completing all of Wakkako's Gigs.

Byakko is another katana that is like the one that players can find from defeating Oda in the Play It Safe mission. However, this blade has an even higher chance of causing an enemy to bleed when they are hit by it.

Besides, this 30% chance, Byakko also has some other special abilities. For example, it's possible for the player to leap toward an enemy while using it without needing the possible skill found in blades. The player is then also able to complete a combo of hits that is sure to kill them quickly if the bleeding doesn't.

3 Bloody Maria

The Bloody Maria iconic shotgun in Cyberpunk 2077
  • Given to V after completing all El Captain's Gigs.

It isn't only melee weapons that can possibly cause bleeding damage in Cyberpunk 2077 as the Power Shotgun Bloody Maria has a 30% chance of causing the foe it hits to bleed. Every hit further increases this chance to make sure that Bloody Maria makes a mess of the enemy.

Cyberpunk 2077: 12 Saddest Deaths, Ranked

A lot of tragic moments exist in Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, these characters met sad and untimely ends.

The only issue with Bloody Maria, like Byakko, is that it may take the player some time to get their hands on it due to requiring them to complete every single one of El Captain's gigs. If a player is willing to dedicate themselves to this, then it's the perfect shotgun.

2 Butcher's Cleaver

The Iconic weapon called the Butcher's Cleaver in Cyberpunk 2077
  • Can be picked up when first meeting Placide during M'ap Tann Pelen.

A Butcher's Knife may not appear like the greatest weapon to be wielded during combat, though players may be surprised to see how much damage a butcher can do. Besides a 40% chance of causing an enemy to bleed, when hitting a bleeding enemy the player also attacks faster and uses less stamina, so they can chop even more.

It is possible to miss this knife if players do not pick it up the first time they meet Placide. Thankfully, since the Phantom Liberty update, those who have purchased the expansion can find these missed iconic weapons for a price at the Black Market.

1 Gold-Plated Baseball Bat

The Gold-Plated Baseball Bat iconic weapon in Cyberpunk 2077
  • Found in Danny's Pool during the side job Second Conflict.

This baseball bat is filled with the unbridled rage of Danny who came back to find her pool full of cement. Gold-plated and as glamorous as she is, this baseball bat has a 100% chance of causing an enemy to bleed making it by far the greatest bleed weapon in the game.

It also has the chance to stun, though this is highly unlikely with the amount of damage it does on top of that. While this weapon may not be found until way later into a player's playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077, it's still one of the greatest choices.
