Following its gameplay preview at Gamescom 2023, it seems like the hype for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is growing even stronger. A lot of the excitement surrounding this expansion isn't just connected to the paid DLC itself, but the additional free content being added to the base game as well. With the combination of both free and paid updates coming to the game this September, Cyberpunk 2077 is set to get loads of fresh content. The specifics of this fresh content have been getting fleshed out over the last few months, with CD Projekt Red revealing an assortment of trailers and press releases covering the updates coming through both the Phantom Liberty DLC and a massive update to the base game.

Phantom Liberty and Cyberpunk's 2.0 update are expected to completely overhaul the 2020 game. Though CD Projekt Red's sci-fi RPG has been enjoying something of a renaissance recently, its reputation is still marred by the poor state it launched in. With the pressure on for this upcoming DLC and update, CDPR seems to be pulling out all the stops to ensure that Cyberpunk 2077 will continue to be worth players' time, money, and attention; skill trees and perks are being completely reworked, AI is getting rebuilt, vehicle combat is being added, and a slew of new combat abilities are being made available to players. Honing in on those last two points, it's clear that Cyberpunk 2077 will be attempting to buttress its combat and driving systems with new weapons and vehicles.

Every New Phantom Liberty Weapon Revealed So Far

With new quests and characters coming to Cyberpunk 2077 via Phantom Liberty, players will have plenty to do when the expansion drops. When it comes to how to deal with these new quests and characters, though, weapons are often going to play a major role, and CDPR has that front covered. Here is every named weapon confirmed to be part of the Phantom Liberty expansion and 2.0 update:

  • Order
  • Grit
  • Warden
  • Osprey
  • Hercules
  • Rasetsu

Order: This is a tough-looking, tech double-barrel shotgun wrapped in barbed wire. It is painted black and dark red and decorated with what appears to be a decal of an arachnid-like creature with a human skull. Revealed in the Phantom Liberty Gamescom trailer, this gun has been labeled as illegal, suggesting that it has been heavily modified in some way. Its tech mods and brutal aesthetic could make Order a great choice for a no-nonsense, run-and-gun playstyle.

Grit: Another gun described as illegal, this black and yellow submachine gun is compact and mean-looking, equipped with an extended mag and a snub barrel. The generous magazine and handheld size of this gun could make it a versatile weapon, suitable for any Cyberpunk 2077 player.

Warden: Another black-and-yellow gun, Warden is a much bulkier and heavy-duty SMG, with a bored barrel, aftermarket battery pack, and mounted with some sort of tech scope. Based on its unique appearance alone, it doesn't look like Cyberpunk 2077 players will get tired with this illegally-modded submachine gun.

Osprey: This sniper rifle is all-black, tactical, and sleek. Boasting a sizable magazine and advanced scope, it seems like a perfect match for stealthy, strategic players interested in dispatching their enemies from afar.

Hercules: One of the more mysterious weapons revealed during the Gamescom trailer, Hercules is described as being a Special-type weapon and is printed with a "prototype" label. The gun's unique appearance and burn marks on the barrel suggest that it could be a flamethrower or a heavy machine gun.

Rasetsu: Another sniper rifle, though one that is considerably more futuristic in appearance than the Osprey. The Rasetsu has a minimalist form factor, with a low-profile scope and foldable mount. This gun, alongside Phantom Liberty's advanced cybernetics, is sure to be among the more alien, strange, high-tech inclusions in the DLC.

Aside from these highlighted guns, there have also been a number of weapons without names revealed in the Phantom Liberty promo material. These include a katana with a lightsaber-esque laser edge, a handheld chainsaw, and an exploding throwing knife. Additionally, the Gamescom trailer highlighted a sledgehammer, handheld taser prod, new mantis blades, and a new forearm launcher, all adorned with the same black-and-yellow spray paint as the Grit and Warden, which suggests that they may come from the same manufacturer or dealer. It's likely that these are just a fraction of the new options being made available on the combat side of the game, hinting at numerous new possibilities for Cyberpunk 2077 melee, ranged, and cyberware builds.

Every New Phantom Liberty Vehicle Revealed So Far

Cyberpunk-2077-Phantom-Liberty

When it comes to the selection of new vehicles coming to Cyberpunk 2077, there have been considerably fewer names dropped. However, that doesn't mean that the developer hasn't shown off plenty of new rides for V to take for a spin, and with the arrival of vehicle combat, cars in Cyberpunk 2077 have never been more exciting.

The only named vehicle that has been revealed is the car that comes as a Phantom Liberty pre-order bonus: the Quadra Vigilante, a sleek, maroon muscle car with an exposed engine. Although the specific names of the other cars have yet to be revealed, they are clearly expanding the world of Cyberpunk 2077, especially when considering how they will function through the lens of combat. The following is a list of the new vehicles confirmed to be coming with Phantom Liberty:

  • The Quadra Vigilante
  • A boxy grey SUV
  • A bulky green Thornton
  • A Purple Quadra
  • A red and silver sports car
  • A heavily armored and gun-equipped military SUV
  • A Cadillac-esque beige sedan
  • A six-wheeled green luxury car similar to a Rolls-Royce
  • A red and cream UTV
  • A sporty black sedan equipped with front-mounted, laser-sight machine guns
  • A heavily modified offroad car with a Speed Addicts logo on the front bumper

While this list of confirmed cars and weapons is massive, it is merely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming DLC. Phantom Liberty could resetCyberpunk 2077's legacy, and the recent trailers for the expansion have proved just how far CDPR is willing to go to make it substantial and valuable.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
