It'd be easy to assume that Crystal Dynamics is completely focused on its Avengers title, as it's a live-service game that publisher Square Enix wants people to be playing for years to come and still has a bunch of content still to release, like new playable characters. But that's not necessarily the case and, as proof of that, a newly discovered job listing reveals that Crystal Dynamics is about to or has already started development on a new triple A project.

The job listing, which was first spotted by Op Attack, is for a gameplay camera designer; someone who will work on the game design cameras and related gameplay. It's not known when the listing was first posted so it's not clear how far along the project already is. What's more, the listing doesn't provide any clues as to what kind of game it will be, with it only described as a triple A game being made in the Redwood City studio.

The safest assumption would be that it's the next Tomb Raider game. The studio is responsible for the modern reboot trilogy of games which began in 2013 and concluded with 2018's Shadow of the Tomb Raider. What's more, the studio has already confirmed that future Tomb Raider games are planned. Previous comments suggested that there won't be any major releases for this year, in spite of it being the franchise's 25th anniversary, but it sounds as if Crystal Dynamics wants to unify the timelines of the original games and the modern ones.

Speaking of the anniversary, Square Enix will be holding a digital presentation tomorrow, simply called Square Enix Presents, where the anniversary will be featured in some way. Nothing is official as of yet, but a popular theory is that this will be where Square Enix announces the leaked Definitive Survivor Trilogy, a collection of the three modern Tomb Raider games. The presentation will also unveil a new Life is Strange title and feature the likes of Balan Wonderworld, Outriders, and Avengers.

The Avengers portion will likely cover all of the content coming in the new update, which will also be releasing tomorrow, including new playable character Hawkeye, the option to customize the HARM Rooms, and replay campaign missions. However, the game continues to face a lot of criticism from fans, despite improvements, things may only get worse for it thanks to a very unpopular decision to adjust how experience is gained.
