A new mod released for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion replaces Zack's normal outfit with Cloud's iconic look from Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. The newest entry in Square Enix's ongoing Final Fantasy 7 saga has seen the franchise return to another classic entry, remaking the PSP spinoff that serves as a prelude to Final Fantasy 7. The prequel has often been praised as one of the best Final Fantasy 7 spinoffs for its story and innovation with the game's combat. Now, one fan is bringing in a reference to another iconic part of Final Fantasy 7 lore.Since its release earlier this month, the Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 remake has already seen plenty of mods from creative fans looking to spice up the game. Some early mods have looked to change up the look and feel of the player character, swapping the prequel protagonist Zack out for Cloud with his iconic Buster Sword. One particularly ambitious mod even swaps out the voice cast of the remake with the memorable voices of the original version. Now, a new mod for Crisis Core has given Zack a fresh, updated look.RELATED: Upcoming Crisis Core Mod Will Replace New Voice Actors With the OriginalsThe newest mod created by prominent Crisis Core modder Ninjagrime1 gives Zack a new look based on Cloud in Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. The mod swaps Zack's normal standard-issue SOLDIER uniform for the outfit worn by Cloud in the Final Fantasy 7 sequel movie. Previews for the mod show off plenty of the finer details in re-creating the outfit including the iconic emblem affixed to the shoulder plating, as well as the texturing used on different pieces of clothing.

The mod's page on NexusMods also reveals other details included as a part of the Crisis Core outfit mod. The modded outfit includes multiple versions with both the sleeveless and sleeved versions of the Advent Children outfit. The mod also features texture fixes to the Buster Sword when wielded by Zack's mentor, Angeal, throughout a majority of the game. Players won't need to reserve a lot of free storage space to download the outfit mod either, as the Advent Children outfit will only require 125 MB of storage space to download.

Crisis Core's release will look to tide over fans waiting for the next installment of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy by exploring the history of the Final Fantasy 7 world. The next main installment in the series, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, is currently planned to launch in late 2023 or early 2024. Producer Yoshinori Kitase would also recently tease fans about updates for the next Final Fantasy 7 installment, claiming news will come "when the timing is right." While fans will still be waiting for Rebirth, Crisis Core provides a unique angle into the story of Cloud.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
