Through the light mechanics in Alan Wake, players will have to defeat the darkness as they encounter all sorts of twists and turns as if they are part of a horror novel or creepy TV show.

Six is attempting to escape the Maw, a horrifying submarine that houses all sorts of guests wishing to gorge themselves endlessly.

Players are likely to encounter all sorts of foes they must avoid as someone as small and frail as Six has no way of defending herself in these situations. Little Nightmares 2 is just as horrifying as the first with plenty more creepy experiences though the original is still by far the best.

Another great game players should consider trying where they control another small child must be Bramble: The Mountain King. This game is heavily inspired by the grim Nordic fables of the past where players must adventure through a dark forest in the hope of finding their sister.

The game at first appears so welcoming but as players adventure deeper into the forest the gory nature of the Trolls and other folk tale villains begin to creep in. Overall, Bramble has an incredible story that makes the adventure worthwhile while keeping gamers on their toes.

Exploring France during the plague in 1348 as Amicia she must look after her little brother Hugo while attempting to flee both the rats that wish to eat all they see and the Inquisition that want to see the sibling's demise.

A Plague Tale is a grim adventure that continues in its theme of creepiness with the second game A Plague Tale: Requiem. The action starts to set in with this second title as Amicia is far more likely to defend herself. However, Innocence continues to be a great starting point.
