Tsunekazu Ishihara, the CEO of Creatures Inc., has stepped down alongside Hirozaku Tanaka, the Executive Vice President. While The Pokemon Company owns the Pokemon series, Creatures Inc. works as a co-owner of the franchise. The company mostly tackles model creation for the Pokemon series, though it sometimes develops games.Fans may remember Ishihara when he was featured on a $50,000 Pokemon card. They may also recognize him not only as the face of the Pokemon Presents that broadcast, but also as the CEO and owner of The Pokemon Company. During these presentations, he usually sits at the forefront, provides information to the viewers, and lets them know what they should expect from the future of Pokemon. As for why they left, it was unexpected and people don't know why, but Ishihara intends to stay as the CEO for The Pokemon Company, while there's no current news on Tanaka's plans.RELATED: Pokemon GO Announces Legendary Debut With a CatchJoe Merrick brought this information to light through a Twitter update, informing fans about the change. Ishihara and Tanaka's successors will consist of Yuji Kitano and Tomotaka Komura, respectively, who'll work on the Pokemon series.

Despite these sudden changes to the leadership, the companies continue to work together and move forward, working on the planned Pokemon projects and future updates for the series. Even though some previous features may not return, fans can expect new content to arrive as the series and creators release more content.

That means fans can still expect the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC to arrive in the upcoming year, along with new updates to the rest of the franchise. With new content arriving, like the Pokemon TCG Scarlet and Violet Expansion, the series remains strong and shows no signs of slowing down as one of the largest franchises in history.

Even though the landscape and leadership change and evolve, the core of the Pokemon franchise remains the same. Players can keep catching Pokemon and see how the series changes with time. The series has been around for decades and continues to grow through multiple mediums, allowing fans to experience Pokemon however they prefer.
