In what appears to be fueling speculation, the Crash Bandicoot Twitter account posted "So... what's everyone doing tomorrow?" alluding to the award show that's scheduled for December 8. While the tweet itself doesn't imply much, recent teasers do fall in line with the possibility of new title. For instance, Activision already teased a Crash Bandicoot reveal at The Game Awards back when it officially confirmed Crash Bandicoot 4 was coming to Steam.

More recently, YouTuber Liam Robertson revealed details of the rumored Crash Bandicoot game leaks where the title is reportedly Crash Bandicoot Wumpa League. As per the leaks, game is a team-based competitive multiplayer entry with two teams seeking to collect the most Wumpa fruits.

Further, the leaks claim that Wumpa League will be using the same game engine as Crash Bandicoot 4 and characters will reportedly be controlled similar to the existing single-player games. Interestingly, this wasn't the first time rumored details were leaked online. Previous Wumpa League leaks from 2021 actually indicate that the game might have been intended for a much earlier release.

As of now, neither the developers nor the publishers have come out officially about an upcoming Crash Bandicoot game reveal. Though a possible multiplayer game for the popular franchise is bound to pique the fanbase's interest. After all, single-player platformers can only offer so much replay value. Either way, fans will soon find out what the announcement will be as The Game Awards 2022 gets ready to kick off. Whether it's a free-to-play title, Crash Bandicoot 5, or anything in between, fans are set to be excited nonetheless.
