With the release of the Sins of the Flesh update, the world of Cult of the Lamb was filled with many new mechanics. One of them is Sins, which accumulate in the bodies of your followers and can then be collected and used for the benefit of the cult. The value of this currency is high. Players can use it for many purposes, from upgrading the Temple to building structures. However, excessive greed has serious consequences.

By exposing a follower to Sin too often, you can also damn it, after which it will leave your cult. However, you should not let this lost soul go so easily. Healing lies in death, so you will have to kill and resurrect Damned Follower to get back it.

How To Resurrect Damned Followers

Ritual of Resurrection in Cult of the Lamb

The only way to get back a Damned Follower in Cult of the Lamb is to kill them and then resurrect them using the Ritual of Resurrection. To do this, players must go on a Crusade and defeat the cursed cult member three times. You will meet it as an enemy in the first and last stages, so select at least one more stage with a sword in the intermediate stages to defeat the follower a third time.

After defeating the follower for the third time, you will finally kill it, as evidenced by the piece of meat that falls after its death. Death also cleanses the cursed soul of this character, so all you need to do is bring it back to life and into the ranks of your faithful flock.

To resurrect a follower, you need to perform a Ritual of Resurrection. To do this, use the altar, select a character's name from the list, and spend 75 bones. Upon completion, the follower will return to the ranks of your cult in the form it was before receiving the curse.

Why Are Your Followers Leaving the Cult?

The clue to why cult members become cursed lies in the message you receive before this follower leaves. Your excessive greed renders the follower's body unable to withstand constant exposure to Sin and its subsequent extraction. With the update, characters can accumulate Sin scale in many ways, most notably by visiting the Drinkhouse. And since the game does not limit characters from visiting this place and accumulating Sin, many players farm currency without thinking about the consequences.

However, stop your greed, and do not fill the Sin scale of the same follower too often. Just three collected Sins in a row from one character can be enough to receive a message about the curse. After extracting 1–2 Sins in a row, change the followers exposed to Sin, and give them a few days to rest. This way, you can easily avoid curses and make life a little easier for your cult.
