Coral Island has done a fantastic job at seeing popular farming sims and expanding on it for their own unique creation. Like Stardew Valley, the mines are a great place for players to spend the day gathering resources that are otherwise scarce anywhere else. But instead of doing one simple mine that leads down several floors, Coral Island changes it around to create their own version of the mines. They combine the mines with the four elements, bringing a whole new look at what players are used to seeing. There are four separate mines that are based on Earth, Water, Fire and Wind. But, since the game is still in Early Access, Wind and Fire are not available yet, only leaving Earth and Water for players to enjoy.

The Caverns are at the back of Scarlet Town, the northwestern corner. Like the diving pier, the Caverns are not available to players starting out the game. On day 7, however, players will be able to use them. Like most other games, the Caverns provide players with ore, gems, and other items for crafting while producing monsters that players will need to fight off, also dropping rare goods. For those interested in finding out more about these Caverns, check out these crucial tips to get started.

4 Go With An Empty Inventory

It can be annoying starting out with very little space in players backpacks. Once players have all their tools and a sword, it seems that all there is left is three little spaces before players upgrade their backpacks. Upgrading is crucial for those wanting to get into the mines, but not necessary if they would rather wait. Ideally, players should choose an optimal day to go to the mines, like a rainy or snowy day when most farm chores are done for them. This leaves a substantial amount of time to progress.

When doing this, make sure to drop off everything that is not needed, leaving a pickaxe, a weapon, and any food they choose to carry. This will make sure that players can carry and bring as many items back home with them to sell or keep. It might even be smart to craft a chest outside the Caverns to drop or exchange certain items. Leaving all food items or even explosives or weapons in a chest to pick up when players get there could save a lot of time.

3 Utilize Outside Items

Like mentioned, snacks and explosives are a great way to navigate and keep up stamina when trying to make progress. With two mines of 40 levels, it can take players some time getting through all the creatures and rocks to find stairs. Explosives do a lot of work for them, and munching on some snacks is great to replenish energy as well as health. Utilize as many items as possible to ensure for a quick, safe, and pleasant journey.

As players level up their mining skill, they will unlock various equipment they can craft to help them in the future. At level one, players will get the first explosive. This can be crafted using 1 bronze ore and 4 coal. At level two, players will get rope, crafted by using 99 fiber. This will allow them to move down a level without finding the ladder. This can be beneficial for those trying to beat the clock, those running out of stamina, or those that don't have the health to beat back monsters. And then at a whopping level 6, players will get the second level explosive, which is crafted using 1 silver ore, 4 coal, and 1 hot pepper, so start stocking up now.

2 Collect & Keep Items

Of course players want to collect all they can, especially ore. But players should also be advised to try and keep items in chests to prepare for the future. Characters are always asking for obscure items, and some might even have a favorite among the items players are gathering in the rocks. That being said, try and have at least one, or even two, of an item before selling it all.

Some items can even be used at the shrines to complete quests. One of the most frustrating things is selling an item and then seeing that players needed it the very next day. It's best to be prepared.

1 Come Back To Certain Levels

Coral Island really made a game that is simple for people who don't want to dally on certain areas. They produced a well-designed cave that allows players to simply grind on certain levels. It can be frustrating moving through levels, battling monsters, to simply gather 12 rocks and 2 ore.

Thankfully, players can go to specific levels such as 5, 15, and 25, that is a large room full of rocks, and a few rocks full of ore, that they can mine without the worry of a spider or a slimeball. So make sure that if players are just trying to come back for some easy rocks, don't worry about dropping through all the levels, take the elevator to a specific spot and get what is needed and head out.
