Coral Island is the new farming simulator that brings together some of the best aspects from the genre. From the farming and romance of Stardew Valley, to the town expansion and friendships of Animal Crossing, Coral Island is the perfect mixture of some of the greatest cozy games for players. While it is in Early Access right now, there are still a lot of things that players can do. Thankfully, the developers are updating as often as possible with added features and improvements.

One such feature that is familiar to Animal Crossing fans is the museum. There are several things that can be found throughout the island and its caves that would be perfect to donate to the museum. Not only will this help players with their city ranking, but it will help expand the town. And if players work hard on donating, they may be able to expand the museum.

How To Expand?

Similar to Animal Crossing, players must work hard to donate enough items to the museum in order to unlock a special cutscene. While the familiar Nintendo game only requires ten donations to improve the museum, and only 5 to get Blathers on the island, Coral Island requires 50 donations to initially start the expansion process.

While the number might be intimidating, it will go by quickly if players ensure they are donating whenever they find something new. And when they reach this requirement, Scott, who works at the museum, will come to the player and talk about his plans for expansion. The process of the expansion will take a while, but players can still keep donating, and will eventually earn a reward from Scott for all their hard work.

Make sure to keep donating after this expansion to help the town rank improve

What Can Be Donated?

When players start their journey in Coral Island, they will quickly get all their supplies needed to catch bugs, critters, fish, gems or find artifacts hidden in the caves or other parts of the Island. While the techniques to catching the critters can be challenging to figure out at first, it'll soon be easy snatching up things that can be given to the museum. And it's smart to donate the first one before selling it for cash, as players never truly know when they'll find the exact fish or bug again.

It is also helpful to note that if players end up forgetting if an item has been donated or not, there is a symbol in players notebook that will indicate whether an item has been given to the museum or not.

Soft Bristled Brush

This is the reward players will get for helping Scott expand his work, along with helping expand the town and raise town ranking. While this item is not a physically usable item like the net or pickaxe, it is a passive item buff that helps players find lost or torn notes as well as fossils from coffers and geodes. Players can also find fossils from the black market that comes near the lighthouse Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights at 20:00.
