Coral Island: The Best Things To Do Besides Farming
Farming isn't the only thing that players can partake in during their stay on Coral Island. These activities are also worthwhile.
However, the usual schedule of daily life for the player is broken up by the occasional festivals that occur once or twice a season. These festivals are incredibly fun to get involved in, with some containing exciting mini-games, while others will have the player showing off their progress.
8 Tree Planting Festival
21st Spring
Time | 8:00 - 14:00 |
---|---|
Entry area | Near the Ranch |
The Tree Planting Festival tasks the player with planting trees on an island that has all of its past foliage cut down. Attending the festival will give the player 150 Merit Points, as well as friendship with all the townies.
Out of all the festivals available in Coral Island, the Tree Planting Festival is the only one that players will be able to be a part of three times in total in three years. This is because after the third time of tree planting, the island should be completely renewed of its trees and, therefore, the island will look brand new. After this point, players are no longer able to attend the Tree Planting Festival.
7 Cherry Blossom Potluck
10th Spring
Time | 9:00 - 14:00 |
---|---|
Entry area | Alun-Alun Square |
The Cherry Blossom Potluck is the first festival any player is likely to be a part of when starting their adventure or life in Coral Island. Besides the main event of bringing an ingredient for the potluck that everyone will get to eat, players can also take part in the Barlep Karung, which is essentially a sack race.
By providing a decent ingredient for the potluck, payers will earn themselves a decent amount of merit points, as well as automatically receive some merits for attending the festival in general. Besides this, there isn't much else in the Cherry Blossom Potluck to engage with.
6 New Year's Eve Feast
28th Winter
Time | 19:00 - 22:00 |
---|---|
Entry area | Hillside Brewery and Vineyard |
New Year's Eve Feast is another smaller festival that players will take part in when playing Coral Island. This is the last festival of the year with it happening near the end of winter. Besides watching the fireworks to conclude the feast, players can also take part in two side activities.

Coral Island: 11 Tips For Beginners
Players new to Coral Island may want to keep these beginner tips in mind before starting their journey.
One rewards the player with merits as they take part in a game where they mustn't drop the balloon, while the other is a Lucky Wheel. Players can earn money, furniture, or other pricey items, though it can only be played once per festival and therefore only once a year.
5 Beach Cleanup Day
27th Summer
Time | 9:00 - 14:00 |
---|---|
Entry area | Beach |
Alongside planting trees every spring, players will continue to clean up after themselves and the other townsfolk with the Beach Cleanup Day in summer. While the sun bears down, players have various water-themed mini-games they could be doing instead of cleaning up the beach, though this is the activity they will need to do to complete it.
Every mini-game will reward the player with 100 merit points if they win it, while once again getting 40 merits for simply attending the event in the first place. Like many of the other festivals, there is also a stall to purchase various event-themed things to keep as souvenirs.
4 Spooky Day Festival
28th Fall
Time | 19:00 - 22:00 |
---|---|
Entry area | Starlet Town |
Coral Island's equivalent of Halloween can be known as the Spooky Day Festival. Naturally, this event includes lots of fun activities and ways to earn merits and other prizes by winning them. The main event of this festival concludes with the Ogoh Ogoh Parade.
Players should make sure they take part in every mini-game available during the Spooky Day Festival, as activities like Bonk the Skeleton will reward the player with not only 100 merit points if they win but also regular currency and weaponry to use. There is also Ring Toss and Scavenger Hunt to try out.
3 Winter Fair
17th - 21st Winter
Time | 18:00 - End of Day |
---|---|
Entry area | Beach |
Unlike the other festivals in Coral Island, the Winter Fair is something that players can visit multiple times between the dates of the 17th to the 21st. This is also the only festival that doesn't pause the time when the player visits it due to it always being available.

Coral Island: Best Crops To Start With
These are the best crops that you should start with in Coral Island.
While the Winter Fair does have activities for the players to get involved in that will earn them rewards, the main reason for visiting this festival is the shops that players can purchase various items from. However, it is still a great way to earn merits as each activity can be completed once a day.
2 Animal Festival
12th Summer
Time | 9:00 - 14:00 |
---|---|
Entry area | Starlet Town |
For players who are looking for a festival that is unlike any other, the Animal Festival is the perfect event to take part in during early summer. Players will need a cow, chicken, and a pet to take part in the various activities available during this special day.
Besides getting merits and showing off the strong bond a player has with their animals, any chicken or cow that wins an event will become a winning chicken or cow that will then lay or produce gold resources. These sell for much more than the regular milk and eggs, making the Animal Festival a must-do event every year.
1 Harvest Festival
15th Fall
Time | 19:00 - 22:00 |
---|---|
Entry area | Alun-Alun Square |
Out of all the available festivals in Coral Island, by far the best of the bunch is the one that showcases the player's effort and dedication to their farm the most. This is the Harvest Festival. The main event is a competition to see who has created the best crops or tended to the best animals and put them all on display to be ranked, but this gets harder every year of the game. It's a great way for a player to get tons of merits as well as win other rewards.
Alongside this, players can get involved in other fall activities like Apple Bobbing or smashing pumpkins to get into the joy of the leaves falling, plus removing some of that stress from the upcoming competition.
