It looks like the wait for the next Cooking Mama game might be coming to end. Today a trailer for what appears to be the next Cooking Mama game, "Cooking Mama: Cookstar" has leaked online, and with it, a release date of March 2020.

Cooking Mama: Cook Star would be the next game in the Cooking Mama series. In the games, players cook different meals while being instructed by the titular character, Mama. The newest addition to the series has some cool new features promised, including every copy of the game being unique thanks to blockchain technology.

The leaked trailer was originally posted to YouTube back in November 2o19, but since the video was unlisted it went unnoticed. That is until today, when popular Dutch video game retailer, Nedgame, released the video on its pre-order page for Cooking Mama: Cookstar.

After Nedgame linked to the video, it was swiftly taken down. The trailer gave a release date of March, and listed a retail price of $39.99. It also told fans to go to "www.cookingmamacookstar.com" for more information on the game. However, as of now, this link doesn't lead anywhere. The trailer also didn't mention anything about the recently announced vegetarian mode, which will allow players to play without virtual meat.

This isn't the first potential Nintendo Switch leak this month, as information about the next Zelda game leaked earlier this month (though it seems to be fake). In this case, it seems like this Cooking Mama trailer wasn't ever supposed to see the light of day. About half of the run time for the trailer was just a black screen. And while the video was uploaded by a user named "Planet Entertainment," the same name as the Cooking Mama publisher, there are no other videos posted by the account. Perhaps this was meant as an internal screen test. Or perhaps it was being used as a test before the real trailer was released. Either way, it's safe to assume by the speed at which the trailer was taken down, the public was not meant to see it.

If the release date revealed in the trailer is accurate, then Nintendo Switch owners have a lot to look forward to in March 2020. It will be coming out around the same time as the hotly anticipated Animal Crossing: New Horizons. There will also be a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game coming out in early March.

Cooking Mama: Cook Star is rumored to be released March 2o20 for PS4 and Switch.
