For many players in Cookie Run Kingdom, getting every Cookie for their kingdom is the ideal goal outside of completing the main story. Because of this, the Cookie Gacha is a necessary part of most players' routines, either through Cookie Cutters or Crystals. Cookies, however, aren't the only thing that can come out of the Cookie Gacha.

When drawing from Cookie Run Kingdom's Cookie Gacha, the most common result will have players receive special items known as Soul Stones. Every Cookie in-game has its own Soul Stone with them not being able to be shared with other cookies. Getting these in the Cookie Gacha though isn't a bad thing and can be important when it comes to strengthening Cookies.

If players get a Cookie in the Cookie Gacha that they already have, the Cookie will be converted into Soul Stones. In the case of a player having the maximum amount of Soul Stones for the Cookie, the Cookie or any more Soul Stones will be converted into mileage points to be used in the Mileage Shop. The amount of mileage points is dependant on the number of Soul Stones and the rarity of the Cookie.

Using Soul Stones to Promote Cookies

The primary function of Soul Stones is the promotion of Cookies. Promoting Cookies increases all of their base stats, scaling with their level over time. This allows Cookies to get stronger, even after reaching the maximum level with Star Jellies, although Cookies can be promoted at any level.

As Cookies gain promotions, more Soul Stones and Coins will be required for each further promotion. The price for each promotion is:

Using Soul Stones to Earn Cookies

Cookie Run Kingdom Licorice Cookie

Many players have Soul Stones for Cookies they don't own. This may make these Soul Stones seem useless for the time, but these Soul Stones remain just as important.

If players manage to gather 20 Soul Stones of a Cookie they don't have before drawing the Cookie in the Cookie Gacha, they will get the option to bake the Cookie themselves from the Cookie menu. This is a guaranteed free pull of the Cookie with the required Soul Stone count. This is always worth doing, as getting duplicate Cookies in the gacha system always gives 20 Soul Stones as a reward.

This method of getting Cookies isn't limited to Epic Cookies and Cookies of lower rarities. Players can also use this method to get Ancient and Legendary Cookies, as their Soul Stones are available in the Medal Shop and Seaside Market. Mileage points can additionally be spent in the Mileage Shop in order to stock up on valuable Epic Cookie Soul Stones.

Cookie Run Kingdom is available on Android and iOS devices.
