Cookie Run Kingdom is a continuation of the lore established in Devsisters' previous title, Cookie Run Ovenbreak. The story in both games follows a group of sentient cookies that have escaped being baked alive in the oven of a group of witches and journey across the world of Earthbread in order to find a paradise for all cookies.
While there are some story differences between Cookie Run Kingdom and Ovenbreak, many of the characters and their goals remain the same. Because of this, there are many characters from Ovenbreak that appear in Kingdom and vice versa. With how lore-heavy the series is though, there are plenty more cookies that need to come on over to the Kingdom side.
At this time, there are cookies from Ovenbreak that are already confirmed to be added into Kingdom. This includes the rest of the legendary cookies made up of Wind Archer Cookie, Moonlight Cookie, Fire Spirit Cookie, and Millennial Tree Cookie, as they appeared in the promotional video for Cookie Run Kingdom's pre-registration. Evidence of Matcha Cookie appearing in a future update has also been revealed by data-miners.
Starfruit Cookie
First appearing in the Battle for Fate Update in Cookie Run Ovenbreak, Starfruit Cookie is a magical oracle from the Pantheon of Starlight. She suffers from confidence issues that make it easy for her to be manipulated by kind words.
During her introductory event, Starfruit Cookie finds herself growing attached to Pomegranate Cookie, a cookie that serves the Evil Enchantress. Pomegranate however takes advantage of her kindness and desire for friendship and taints the Nebula Spring after being shown out of trust. Starfruit Cookie is left broken and betrayed, with only the vision of GingerBrave and his friends serving as a possible hope for the future.
Chess Choco Cookie
Despite the title of Chess Choco Cookie, this cookie is actually two different cookies that play as one. They are twins named Pawn White Cookie and Pawn Black Cookie. Both of them are confirmed to be survivors of the Dark Chocolate Kingdom. Because of this, they greatly admire Dark Choco Cookie.
The two cookies were tasked with trapping GingerBrave and his friends forever in the Grandmaster Hotel alongside Earl Grey Cookie. The butler cookie's dedication to his job however allowed the heroes to leave. Serving under Dark Enchantress Cookie, however, the twin cookies have a lot of potential to cause havoc in Cookie Run Kingdom.
Roguefort Cookie
Named after and made with roquefort cheese, Roguefort Cookie is a phantom thief that steals valuable gems, art pieces, and even hearts. They leave a calling card to announce their future heist and always get away with it.
Because of Roguefort's hijinks, they have made enemies of Almond Cookie and his daughter, Walnut Cookie. The two detectives however have helped out the thief in the past though after a false accusation almost led to Roguefort's actual capture. No Cookie seems to know of Roguefort's true identity, but they take great pleasure in messing with those who try to chase them down.
