Released in 2024, Content Warning is a co-op survival horror game that centers around a team of four players who venture into the "Old World" to capture the horror that lurks around every corner. The game requires you to film videos of your adventures and post them on SpookTube. The goal is to reach the maximum views and subscribers.

The game has a similar vibe to others like Lethal Company, where you'll face numerous monsters and need to outsmart them or face death. In these scenarios, having vital tools can maximize your chances of survival. One such tool is the Rescue Hook, which can come in handy in various situations. Here’s how you can get it.

How To Get & Use The Rescue Hook In Content Warning

How to Get and Use Rescue Hook

The Rescue Hook isn’t in your starting gear. To get it, you must head to the shop booth outside your home in your homeland. You can snag this lifesaving equipment from here for as little as $250. It may seem like an expensive purchase at the beginning of the game, but it makes perfect sense if you’re looking for peace of mind and extended footage.

Here is everything you need to know about using the Rescue Hook.

Aim The Rescue Hook Safely

Using the Rescue Hook takes a little time to master, since it is quite similar to a grappling hook. This handheld launcher shoots out a rope that connects to any hard surface. Once the hook secures itself, it pulls you toward the point of contact.

Ragdoll Danger

The moment you reach your landing zone, the hook disconnects and drops you. Be prepared to be thrown like a ragdoll and exercise caution when using the Rescue Hook in enclosed areas, as you don’t want to land in the line of sight of a waiting monster.

When you drop from a height, it takes about two seconds before you can regain control of your character. This is why you should always choose a safe landing spot that gives you enough time to escape your imminent death.

Although the Rescue Hook is a useful tool, it should not be your primary escape plan. You should try and focus on developing other skills to deal with monsters and try to minimize the use of the Rescue Hook as it can be a little tricky to use. Using the Hook at the wrong time and place will result in you being eaten alive.
