Seasoned Monster Hunter Rise players might be aware of the Cohoot Nest situated in the Buddy Plaza at Kamura Village. Visiting the Cohoot Nest and searching it will provide free items for hunters, and the nest replenishes after players complete a single quest. However, it seems that the longer players wait to search the nest, the more items will appear for the taking. So, players who would like greater rewards should check it every few quests.

Those jumping into the new Sunbreak expansion will be happy to know that there is indeed another Cohoot Nest in the new Elgado Outpost area. Players will travel to Elgado on a ship after fighting Diamyo Hermitaur for the first time in the Shrine Ruins.

Where is the Cahoot Nest in Elgado?

To get to the Cahoot Nest in Elgado, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak players need to head to the Command Post area, where Admiral Galleus and Dame Fiorayne reside.

Players can simply walk there by going up the staircase next to Chichae the Quest Damsel, or they can fast travel by going into the System section of the menu, hitting Open World Map, and then choosing the Command Post area.

Now, use the Wirebugs to fly to the top of the blue tarp above the Command Post table. From there, players will see a small wooden walkway with a ladder attached to it, as seen in the image above. Use another Wirebug to get to the platform, and then climb the ladder to find the Cahoot Nest.

What Does the Cahoot Nest Give You?

It's random what the Cahoot Nest contains, but players are likely to find things such as Lagniapples, Trap Tools, Fish, and other goodies. Sometimes players can even get Steel Eggs, which can be sold for a 1000 Zenny to Merchants.

Lagniapples can be used to increase the expected outcome of rewards from the Meowcenary Team, which can be utilized by speaking to Nagi, the Buddy Agent. Players can find Nagi to the left of the Courier at the Elgado outpost. Players can also use the Buddy Scout, access The Argosy, and use the Buddy Dojo by chatting with Nagi.

Since there's no Buddy Plaza at Elgado, Nagi will provide players with everything they need for all pet-related things.
